Actually the pipeline is complete on the Iranian side. Reports say that the Iranians might even start building on the Pakistan side soon.

If iran builds for pakistan, then it is fine. Do you know what is share of pakistan?

Who owns the infra? After building pipeline, if india/china refuses to take gas and continue import by sea, then pakistan will be royally screwed.

I guess Pakistan will keep on providing gas routes to other countries and call itself an ultra important in the region.

Even if you don't have the resources, but if you can provide the route to other countries (for some rent) then you become extra important.

To the topic: Pakistan is a Regional Power, and very important in Asia.
America and China are right now competing for influence in Pakistan.
China will most probably win this contest.

India & China will always be competing for resources, they are after all, the largest & the second largest countries in the world by population. Meaning there will be a tussle over the Indian ocean. But China can avoid this tussle by getting uninterrupted reliable routes from Pakistan, as well as open itself to the Middle East & Central Asian markets.

China needs an ally against India. India has territorial disputes with China.

Prove to me that Indonesia is a regional power

Just because Indonesia has over-population, a lot of people assume they're powerful, when they're actually a mess of a country. You will never see a Malaysian/Singapore working in low-end jobs in Indonesia, while you see alot of Indons doing that here. Do you know how low their GDP per capita is?

GDP per capita doesn't determine whether a country is a regional power or not, China & India especially have low GDP per capitas & they are regarded as regional powers. There are many things that determine whether a country is a regional power or not: size of the economy (overall GDP, NOT GDP per capita), important geopolitical strategic location is one, then the strength of the country's institutions, the sway they have internationally, even population. GDP per capita is not one of them.

im not sure i follow your logic...economically strong has nothing to do with military..

thousands of indians/pakistanis go to work in the gulf....does that mean they are powerful militarily than india/pak....?
