Iran Pakistan to build an oil pipe line supplementing IP(C)

This is logical and a BIG BIG boost to Iran Pakistan Alliance

Since Oil transport to Pakistan via pipeline will probbly be 30% cheaper and cost effective no shipping cost involved

India should be smart to try to get back into the Game

Iran is just plain simple a good businessman , and energy projects offer a clean radioactive free future and prosperity for whole region

F@@@, mods needto tidy this up.

Has there ever been any proof or statements of us pressure to abandon ip/ipi.

The pressure comes on sanctions already in place on Iran this has also made India's trade ties harder

but 1 Pakistani = 10 Indians.:chilli:

Good for Pakistan.

And this is more than enough..............in war you don't count on quantity...........but on courage..........see the example of Vitenam....1948 and 1965 wars between India and Pakistan.

Idiot commentary. Pakistan has over 7 trillion dollars worth of minerals, true. But these minerals are copper, gold, tin, nickel, lead, iron, etc. etc. Pakistan does not have large reserves of oil and gas, just a bit. What India has? Let me guess not much.

First of all this thread is about pakistan not India.

But as you have asked a question just to break ur bubble of lack of Info about India, India domestically produced enough oil to meet the oil consumption for whole year of 2 countries like pakistan.

Yes we are producing Oil not planned in future but doing it for decades, our production is double then the present crude oil demand in pakistan :partay:

India have world's largest aluminum rolling company and one of the biggest producers of primary aluminum in Asia. Its copper smelter at Dahej in Gujarat is the world's largest single location custom copper smelter with 500,000 tpa capacity.

Rest facts about minerals I don't wanna post as it will derail this thread.

thanks

Do the sanctions stop the building of gas lines??

The sanctions relate to foreign firms which trade with Iran. Some companies like Venezuela's state oil company, Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), is among those targeted by the measures.

Other companies include firms based in the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Singapore, Monaco and Jersey.

"All of these companies have engaged in activities related to the supply of refined petroleum products to Iran, including the direct supply of gasoline and related products," Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg said.

USA is being a right pain in the *** these sanctions have given India much headache also.

Also it is in the news that the pipe line is going to Gwader where Iran will also build a refinery there.

almost all major cities in India have autos run on CNG , whats the big deal . we do it why cant you?

That is because Indian homes are not run on natural gas. Indians use rusty LPG cylinders which they have to change almost once a week carrying the heavy cylinders it on their shoulders. In Pakistan almost all of the homes have natural gas pipe installed. 50% of Pakistan's energy requirement comes from gas (of the most environmentally friendly fuels). From transport to domestic and industrial uses.

I guess , i would make much more sense if this "pipe" is extended to China as Chinese economy would 1.5 billion barrels of oil every year from 2015.

The problem is the difficult geography of Pakistan-China border. We have not even yet built a good quality wide road and railway to connect Pakistan with China which is open year round and can move large volumes of trade between the two. Still most of Pakistan China trade is being done via sea. Any oil and gas pipe line has to go parallel to a good railway/road so that maintenance is going to be easy as well as original laying of pipe line.

Yaar why bring India gain and again plz concentrate on the topic only.

When you say that in India we don't get piped gas this shows lack of Info on ur side.

Do you know India have "The world's longest LPG pipeline".

For further reading just search for Indraprastha Gas, Gas Authority of India Ltd. etc.

I did not bring Indians in. I was just answering to another comment made by an Indian. Go above and read it.
