Iran-Pakistan fallout over Bahrain

Saudi Arabia is destroying the very nation the ""pact"" was meant to protect. Pakistan is no manner of the word a policing. Its become a a guns for hire state and it needs to steer away from that. If Pakistan maintains a neutral position and uses and excuse like we're too busy fighting in the north it gets to keep both parties happy. But is it joins then it looses a big ally.

Who is this ally, Iran? Iran is no ally of Pakistan, it is India's friend and has been for the last three decades.

. .
Iran may be a brutal mullah regime but that is Iranians' own loss. Oh, what to say about Saudi Arabia's records on human rights: Would even shame North Korea when it comes to social freedoms.
Anyway, this 'private citizen' arguments is just as bogus as Raymond Davis being a civilian. When significant number of Pakistani retired SOLDIERS go to defend a corrupt and repressive regime in Bahrain then it brings bad name to Pakistan.
Stay out their affairs and stay neutral. Let them duke it out.

Rather than trying to bash Pakistan and KSA, accept the facts. They are retired Pakistanis individuals, who are offered some job (take it as you like) in Bahrain, where they go to work. The Pakistani government can't stop them from working abroad.
And KSA, I don't think you have ever been there, or read anything other than vicious Iranian propaganda about KSA, otherwise you would know that the quality of life there is very high and the people are satisfied, and most are not looking for a revolution. Please get your head out of the sand, with regards to your crazy biases.

what you say is a propaganda

i never see anything against KSA in Iran that is propaganda
but since i travelled Western countries or Asia, KSA looks much more middle age and stupid people country to their eyes

so instead pointing your finger on Iranians just wake up and see the bad picture of this country worldwide

Would you stop with this nonsense already...Guns for hire state?
Pakistan Army is not being sent to Bahrain

Regarding Pakistanis being hired all over the Muslim world as defense experts and contractors...this has been happening since decades and is nothing wrong.

I know countless retired military personnel who went to Gulf Countries after retirement.
This is nothing new and is just being given a twist by certain parties as if Pakistan is sending active duty soldiers to help the Bahraini government, which is certainly not happening.
The regime maybe oppressive but same can be said of all the Muslim countries on one level or another...
It is not like the retired soldiers have a lot of other alternatives...it is certainly a much better scenario than your soldiers being recruited by blackwater or Al Qaeda after he is struggling to make ends meet post retirement.

Would you have me believe that it is wise to stop our retired soldiers from earning their bread in a transparent manner post retirement. After all they are being hired by a recognized and friendly/allied Muslim country's military.

We stop them from earning their livelihood by joining a legitimate formation and what is the alternative for them?
What are the repercussions of such a foolish decision for the region in which many non state terrorist organizations with lots of cash to spare are looking for recruits?

There are some aspects of the Saudi society that are a bit suffocating, but it is not as bad as some of our friends have said. Life there is still pretty comfortable even compared to other Gulf States because of a much lower cost of living and less stress. They also get full month's holiday in Ramadan. KSA has a firm belief in providing for the welfare of its residents, regardless of nationality.

@All-Green: Thank-you for your post. I hope people can try to stop their propaganda about Pakistan sending its troops.

There is no Pakistani involvement. Only private citizens are going to seek jobs. So what if someone wants to earn extra money? If it is so bad, then please leave your jobs and close down your businesses.

Who is this ally, Iran? Iran is no ally of Pakistan, it is India's friend and has been for the last three decades.

But that friendship got strained when Iran talked about Kashmir. Now I don't understand the India Pakistan Iran equation at all.

What is irans problem in sovergien affairs of sovergien country. If you want to talk in shia sunni prospects then iran backed mahdi army in Iraq bruttaly cleansed hundreds thousands of sunnis from various neighbourhoods. iran has been caught funding terrorism and spying in sevral muslim countries. Muslim world needs to stop beliving the foul topi-drama of iranian top leaders.

On the second note, Iran has always favoured India over Pakistan so why is their tail burning if Arabis favour us over them???
Pakistanis are respect in the gulf for their loyality.

On terms of opression, which country suppressed anti-gov with most brutality in middle east?? Yep its Iran so look in your collar before advocating others.

And the street of protest is two way as per the latests and iran did the same as bahrain..supressed them!

Several dead in clashes as Arabs protest in Iran | Al Bawaba

The Revolutionary Guard Corps used tear gas to disperse the demonstrations, while using live bullets in some neighborhoods. After Friday prayers, the Iranian authorities cut off Internet services, water and electricity to the district and declared the imposition of a state of emergency. The Basij forces confiscated satellite dishes and computers.

This is far more than what Bahrain or Egypt would ever do..confiscating personal computer?? Oh come on!

^^ Somebozo, Iraq is a Pandora box of axis of evil... if you mange to win confidence of any non Shia Iraqi he will tell you the truth behind Mahdi and Sadar and Iran and Blackwater and patrons of all.

No doubt, Iran's hands are soaking in blood of Iraqis and Pashtoons.
Iran believe he can black mail Arabs with same theory of terrorism using local twisted people..
Now he is stepping on Pakistan's tail means he will be at loss because we are a resilient nation by nature.
