Thats quite a dangerous misperception if in fact israel is a nuclear power wouldn't you say? Actually it's quite dangerous for stability in the countries surrounding Israel and Israel itself if that turns out to be true. Assuming Amhadinejad was never serious when he proclaimed his desire to wipe Israel from the map ( nuclear attack on Israel would invit nuclear retaliation by the US, npt goes out the window worldwide) terrorist groups such as Hamas would be greatly emboldened and neighboring countries vehemently anti-Israel might be tempted to go to war.
If they've been a nuclear power then it must have been underground testing.
No such things will happen. It is just media hype that Hamas will become emboldened. The fact is if groups like Hamas were emboldened by such tactics then Soviet propped Afghan government would have never fallen and Iran's Shah was still in power since both were being backed by nuclear powers. There are many other examples. Groups like Hamas get emboldened on ideological grounds. Whey they see that Fatah is impotent and can not deliver and when they see Abbas the Fatah leader a buddy of US is slapped in face just because Palestinians have got an unimportant seat in UNICEF, Hamas gets emboldened. When Palestinias see their thousands come home from Israeli prisons under a Hamas-Israeli deal, they get emboldened. When Israel is killing kids in Palestine, Hamas gets emboldened. That is how it works.
