Iran now has ballistic missiles that will reach USA land

If you can put a satellite into orbit, you can put a warhead anywhere on the planet. This is common knowledge in missile technology. However, when it comes to using SLVs as ballistic missiles there is two things you need to address:

1) The size of the warheads the SLV is capable of delivering as an ICBM. For example, Iranian Qased SLV could be used as an ICBM, but its warhead for this purpose would be very small to be meaningful in any practical way.

2) The re-entry vehicle issue. SLVs generally put satellites into orbit so there is no need to consider re-entry vehicle thermodynamics. However, Iran can test re-entry vehicle technology via its manned space program and current missile program.

Iran has already de facto shown all the necessary technology puzzle pieces for an ICBM. For obvious political reasons, it will not openly test a named ICBM at this time. However it is showing this technology under the cover of its space program. if it wanted to, Iran could have developed a US hitting ICBM many years ago. This is no problem for Iran. Iran's focus today is developing MRBM's with pin point accuracy, and it has an extraordinary job in that sector. If the need for an ICBM arrises, you'll see one in a flash.

Why is Zero hedge cross publishing this garbage?

Quality has fallen sharply since the jumped on the anti-China bandwagon

Well Iran needs to first demonstrate it has a nuclear capability by detonating a warhead. This is the only way ... what is the use of making ICBMs if you do not even have the warhead technology? It took the North Koreans many live tests to demonstrate this capability. Iran will have to walk in the same arduous path unfortunately, which would in the process make it even more isolated. I'd say even Russia would be heavily against an Iranian nuclear test.

What the US says about Iran does not matter.. let alone the Russians. Iran will do what it wants but i doubt publicizing possesion of nuclear weapons is a good idea now.

Khamenei has forbid us from developing nuclear weapons, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't develop ICBMs. In case he lifts the ban, we will already have a potent way of delivering nukes if/when needed.

Actually what Russia says has much greater influence because Russia is arguably Iran's greatest geopolitical ally.

Iran: "American Soil Is Now Within Range Of Iranian Bombs"

One day after the United Nations Security Council voted in favor of lifting the arms embargo on Iran, for instance, the ruling mullahs unveiled a ballistic missile that reportedly can reach the United States. "By sending a military satellite into space, Iran now has shown that it can target all American territory; the Iranian parliament had previously warned [the US] that an electromagnetic nuclear attack on the United States would likely kill 90 percent of Americans."

Solemanni was Iran's ranked #1 military man who was killed in U.S military strike
Suprised with such US reactions. Despite having capabilities to destroy whole world multiple times USA start crying on anyone who is trying to maintain a deterrence of its own.

Russia is no ally of Iran. At most a partner in some economic trade or some political issues.

Russia can also ask so much they want but they will be refused

As @Figaro stated it's when you implode a nuclear device particularly above ground it'll generate Electromagnetic radiation (i.e. an Electromagnetic Pulse) as @skyshadow stated that destroys electronics within a particular designated range through current and voltage surges.

I'm not an expert on this but from my understanding a single missile imploded above the US could generate one that affects the entire country though not sure its efficacy the higher up you go or the payload size you require, etc...
the problem for that to work you need sonething in realm of megatons and a nuke in size of hundred of kilotons even cant achieve that.
