Iran : Israel is the most dangerous threat to the world

Aktavist, you've been reduced to name-calling. Can't you do better than that? Start by sourcing every claim. Did you even bother to check if there were contending accounts, let alone investigate and judge which were factual and which were not? Until then why should anyone - even yourself - think you possess enough merit to apply the label Lie to nirreich's arguments?

Many, many Pakistanis have been immersed in a culture of Israel-hatred for decades; at the very least you can't point to people in your mosques and schools who have taken on the role of Israel advocates, right? So whatever makes you think your grasp of facts and perceptions of them could possibly be accurate?

Israel and the west have been immersed in culture of Islam-hatred for ages, not the other way round!

Those in the West who really like Islam have converted - nothing stops them. That doesn't mean Islam, Christianity, and Judaism together haven't been honored. We have public sculptures depicting Abraham, Muhammed, Jesus, and Moses all together as great lawgivers. Some Muslims find that offensive but these find it impossible to argue that Muhammed only had things to say to Muslims and no one else.

In the West religion is a personal belief and many of the values within Judeo-Christian culture have been secularized in law. No one needs to dislike another's religion any more than is necessary to maintain one's desired identity. If Islam's image has suffered in the West in the past decade imo it is more due to the lack of Muslim opposition to violent jihad - including baseless Israel-hatred - than anything else.

"Islam encourages terrorism," now, isn't that the view being propagated by the western media and the top notch politicians?

Isn't that JudeoChristian politics.
So do not blame Islam and Muslims please. Muslims(or any other human beings ) become violent when violence is inflicted on them. Take for example colonisation which most Muslim countries suffered from.

A threat to the Ayatollah regime, yes.

Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan said Israel should hold off on attacking Iran and that he would “prefer” that the United States execute any attack.

Dagan also said in an interview aired Sunday on the CBS news program “60 Minutes” that he feared an Israeli strike on Iran would lead to a regional war that would see at least 50,000 missiles fired on Israel from Hezbollah in the north and Hamas in the south.

“It will be a devastating impact on our ability to continue with our daily life. I think that Israel will be in a very serious situation for quite a time,” Dagan told Lesley Stahl. “And wars, you know how they start. You never know how you are ending it.”

Dagan began the interview by saying that “An attack on Iran before you are exploring all other approaches is not the right way how to do it.”

He went on to say, “No doubt that the Iranian regime is maybe not exactly rational based on what I call Western thinking, but no doubt they are considering all the implications of their actions. They will have to pay dearly and all the consequences for it.”

One sign of the Iranians’ forward thinking, Dagan said, is how they stall through diplomacy.

Dagan pointed out that a nuclear Iran is an international problem, not solely an Israeli one. Thus he believes that the United States could be the ones to attack Iran’s nuclear program.

“If I prefer that somebody will do it, I always prefer that Americans will do it,” he said.

Dagan added that an attack would not halt Iran’s nuclear program, only delay it, and asserted that there are dozens of sites throughout the country, not the four that are spoken about publicly.

US President Barack Obama will never attack Iran

An op-ed appearing on the website of the most-read Israeli newspaper urges Tel Aviv to realize that US President Barack Obama will never attack Iran or even support an Israeli offensive.

“Watching [Israeli] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s AIPAC [American Israel Public Affairs Committee] speech, it seems clear that he realized after talking to Obama that Israel is alone in this fight,” the article published on Ynetnews said on Monday.

“Obama seems to only be worried about a preemptive attack on Iran or the talk of war raising oil prices and thereby harming the US economy and his re-election campaign.”

Obama was in fact “bluffing to woo Jewish voters and stop an Israeli unilateral attack on Iran,” when he claimed to “have Israel’s back,” the article said.

“Not needing Jewish votes or reelection,” the piece continued, “If re-elected, President Obama, in his second term, will not attack Iran even as a last resort.”

The US, Israel and some of their allies have accused Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program.

The US and the EU have used this pretext to impose sanctions against Iran, while Tel Aviv has issued threats of a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities. Washington has repeatedly threatened Iran with “all options” on the table.

The Islamic Republic has strongly refuted Western allegations regarding its nuclear energy program, arguing that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it is entitled to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful objectives.

“Israel’s only remaining hope is that Obama will lose the election and be replaced by the Republicans,” the article concluded.
