Judging by the comments from Pakistani members, Pakistanis hates the Afghans even more than Indians. So, if Iran attacks Afghanistan, Pakistan is more likely to take advantage of the situation on the Afghan border than to help Afghanistan.

On online forums it looks like all Pakistanis hate each other aswell lol. Reality is majority of the Pakistanis don't mind Afghans living in Pakistan and making a living, we certainly support them, this is why they are still here, working hard, many Afghans are millionaires in Pakistan. Same with Iran, its our neighbour and we have no issues. Regarding politics in Afghanistan, we had the Soviets invading them and Pakistan had no choice but to support anti soviet movements, the aim wasn't to be anti Iranian or Northern Alliance but to resist anti soviet/Indian influence in Afghanistan.

Today Taliban is in power but Pakistan will never support Taliban against Iran and Iran will never support taliban against Pakistan. Both nations know they will suffer if either of the nation is destroyed, ofcourse differences are there, which is expected. Iran is also not anti Taliban at the moment, this is because deal was signed where Taliban will give rights to all ethnicities and religion minorities. The only issue is Taliban for some reason is giving stick to Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan, always issues at the border and some militias are causing problems. I don't believe Iran or even Pakistan will invade Pakistan but if the Taliban doesn't handle the problems faced by all nations then the Taliban will face the consequences.

Don't confuse the Kabuli communist so-called elite, always a treacherous bunch, with the genuine Afghan population.

Millions of Afghans live and work in Pakistan. Many of them are second and even third generation now. They regularly cross the border to visit their relatives and vice versa.

I don't believe Iran or even Pakistan will invade Pakistan (Edit - You mean Afghanistan) but if the Taliban doesn't handle the problems faced by all nations then the Taliban will face the consequences.

The most likely reason that Iran might possibly one day invade Afghanistan is if the water situation becomes desperate enough.
