Iran Inaguarates manufacturing plant for double decker commuter trains

congrats iran.... we also need such trains... metro trains are getting overcrowded.

I have seen such double decker trains operating on long distance lines in India. Always wanted to ride on one but never got the chance. I am sure it is a lot of fun.

These Iranian coaches definitely look much cooler though.

Congratulations Iran its nice to see Muslim country making her way to progress 1 step at a time.

I really doubt that there will ever be a T I P link. Coz Iranians do not seem to be interested in any links with Pakistan. Reasons are Jundullah which they think have ties in Pakistan (of courses most sunni clerics in Iran are Pakistan educated like most Shia clerics in Pakistan are Iran educated) plus Iranian look down upon people on the Indus left bank viz a viz Punjab and Sindh.

With regards to Iran manufacturing double decker trains, there is no doubt that Iran have a very high level manufacturing Industry thanks to Shah Iran. Due to this they have survived sanctions for so many years... well of course due to oil and its boarder with not at all hostile Pakistan and Turkey, whom unfortunately they do not trust at all.

Pak-Iran-Turkey freight train begins trial run

The railway is already done. The railway is there to provide faster and cheaper than ship travel for all the stuff coming in from Asia and going to Europe. Iran hopes the railway to also be connected to China. China -> Pakistan -> Iran -> Turkey -> Europe. The good thing for Pakistan is that with all these deals with Iran, it earns transit fees.

Sunni clerics of Iran are not educated in Pakistan. Qom has suni schools too. Also Iran offered to Al-Azhar university of Egypt to open up a branch in Iran. As far as jundulshaitan, Iran has provided intelligence that ISI is in on this terrorist gang, together with the U.S CIA.

During the pre-revolution era our railways were maintained by the British. The Iranians were not allowed to touch the system, they had to call the British. They would then send a team that would fix it. In fact, the Iranians were not even allowed to watch during the repair operations, this is how far the control went. Our whole industry was controlled like this by westerners.

Iran in the pre-revolution era was like the Arabian countries of now. With the only difference that for decades we were already fighting to become independent under the grip of these foreigners and that Iranians operated everything, but just were not allowed to learn the details of things. They have obviously learnt from their mistakes in Iran. That's why the Arabs are in a much worse situation now.

When the war was forced upon us, and we had thrown out all foreigners. There are two major things we found out:
1) We are going to have to learn everything ourselves if we are to survive.
2) The foreigners had done some major sabotage work before leaving.

Here is a general explaining we could barely put together the rpg7 and 60mm mortars.

Yes but it still does not have guage change station at Zayedan. I doubt that Iran will take initiative either to convert its side train line either to standard guage or built a guage change station.

May be you are right but there are alot who come here. Plus i saw a report on Press TV which showed that, the ppl interviewed were also using the same terms which are used in Pakistan e.g. they were calling Salafis Ahlehadiths etc etc

You know better but there were alot of industries built by Shah like HESA etc

I disagree with that Iran was not like Arab countries. Yet it had oil but it also established itself as an industrialized country too.

Non of it is down to the Shah of Iran. We couldn't maintain anything when he was in power, let alone build anything.

Iran does not have secure borders, it borders Iraq, which attacked us in 1980, and it borders Pakistan and Afghanistan which base terrorist groups that attack us. Afghanistan alone produces 90% of the worlds opiom, most of which is transported through Iran from Afghanistan and Pakistan. We have a very trusting relationship with Turkey. We don't have one with Pakistan because there is evidence that the ISI has helped Jundullah.

Its amazing how Persians have managed to develop such beautiful technologies at home with all the sanctions !!! While in Pakistan we don't have any such transportation

Really nothing but admiration on their goals as a nation, I hope we can learn few lessons from their innovation

What a amazing terminal and organization admirable

Of course we should try to overcome these problems, but Jundullah has killed over 400 civillians and we have proof that the ISI has aided them. This is serious and it has to be fixed before Iran and Pakistan could have the same relationship as Iran and Turkey do. Hopefully the problems will be sorted out soon. A week ago, Pakistan handed some Jundullah members to Iran, so the situation is improving, but still Iran maintains that some elements in the ISI are helping Jundullah. These accusations are founded on concrete proof and evidence.
