Iran has helped Taliban capture Taywara district in central-western province of Afghanistan, an Afghan official claimed.

Fazlulhaq Ihsan, the chief of provincial council, was involved in the recent insurgency to destroy Salma Dam in the neighbouring province of Herat, stopping a dam project in Ghor and countering Islamic State group.

“Iran’s intelligence has equipped the Taliban. It has provided cash to militants,” Ihsan said.

The fall of Taywarah district to militants happened on Sunday.

Experts also have said that the insurgents are seeking to reach Salma Dam by overrunning the district.

Iran, which has already expressed concerns regarding dam construction in Afghanistan, however, denies the recent claims.

In the assault on the district, Taliban militants also shot patients and doctors before torching the hospital.

Local civil society representatives criticized the central government for ‘negligence’ in preventing collapse of the district.

Wazir Noorani, an activist, said that more districts in Ghor will fall if the government doesn’t take necessary measures.

Afghan government has said that reinforcement forces have been deployed to reclaim Taywara district.

According to sources, five Afghan forces have been killed while 20 more have went missing in operation to retake the district.

Sixty Taliban fighters have also been killed in the district.

This is clearly a "comedy" unfolding in front of our eyes.

- Taliban capturing territories and bombing Kabul
- Afghan government blames Pakistan and Iran
- US just watch Taliban advancing
- US blame Pakistan

WTF?

This is not even B-movie shit. This is D-movie shit.

Pakistani COAS should call his American counterpart and tell him to get to work or Pakistan will.

Afghan, US blame game not coincidence, says General Bajwa (The News)

.
Someone got to answer why Police demands of increased security were rejected by people in Kabul?
Why were all the warning they issued were pushed under the rug?

.
Time for Bajwa to get tough with Americans. They cannot be allowed to undermine Pakistani efforts against terrorism.

US has so much power and resources at its disposal; what for? Time for US to revamp/redefine its Afghan policy. Bickering is for the weak; strong get to work.

Pakistan should no longer tolerate this pathetic blame-game.

I doubt that the Pakistani COAS has the balls to this.

.
Iran have much better options for putting pressure on Afghanistan IF NEEDED so their claims are not accurate on this matter .
and yes Iran is really concerned about border waters

.
The only parties at fault for Afghanistan problems are not Iran nor Pakistan, but America and the Northern Alliance. Until they realise this and work internally, there will never be peace in that country.

.
So Iran, Russia, Uganda, Pakistan, Burkino Faso etc etc are all conspiring against Afghanistan. On a more serious note what do Iranians have to say in response to this? @Cthulhu @Serpentine

It's too low ranking of an official to be taken seriously. I would only take Afghan gov official stance of any issue from proper channels, like president itself, foreign ministry, interior ministry etc.

.
Strange phenomenon!! not a single monkey kissing Merica's butt is here insulting Iran!!
