No,they`ll take it to arbitration and they`ll more than likely win and then pakistan will probably not only be slapped with a judgement against it for the couple of billion odd dollars in outstanding penalty fees for non completion of the pipeline by the agreed date[waaaay back in 2015],but will likely also face considerable additional financial penalties as well.
A good example of this sort of thing was the s300 deal that iran took to arbitration.The original contract was for 800 million but the russians being found in breach of the contract were slapped with a 4 billion dollar penalty.
Iran had been going to take pakistan to arbitration back in late 2019 but pakistan begged for more time claiming that it had not abandoned the project.This lead to the revised Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) in September 2019 which gave pakistan until 2024 to build its section.
Sadly pakistan did nothing with the extra time it had been granted and now it looks like the iranians have finally run out of patience.
Considering pakistans current wretched economic state,this literally couldnt have come at a worse time,oh well.....
