Iran: From 'axis of evil' to last best hope in the Middle East

U.S.A. is completely indifferent about their terrorist spreading into other countries than they where intended to weaken as long as U.S.A. benefits from the destabliziation and chaos.

There is a theory that US and Russia have found two common grounds, one is to hamper the cheap accessibility of the Chinese to Iranian oil and the second one the vast growth of the Islamic Fanatics. The common factor is Iran in both cases to reduce cheap oil exports to China as well as taking the role in stopping the fanatics.
Maybe one of the reasons Iran doesn't trust The US, is the fact that in previous years they helped facilitate US interests, mainly the support of their attack on the Taliban in Afghanistan. While it is widely known that US flew over Iran for its air strikes, not many may know about the role of the infamous Qods regiment in liberating a few cities of Afghanistan along side the Mojahedin and US Delta Forces. It is also strongly rumored that not only US forces were flying over Iran but had stationed themselves in a remotely built airfield around Lar near the city of Shiraz called Bastak, taking off and landing their strike fighters.
On the other hand, while US & KSA relations seem to be on good terms; however, most Muslim extremist groups are funded and aided by KSA in various ways. Also, in the region while Arab countries may be in good terms with The US, fundamentally, the Arab population are not fond of the US, but it is the exact opposite in Iran. In short, in The M.E. region, the best ally for the US has been and most likely will be Iran for many more decades to come. Moreover, take into fact that after Israel, the highest concentration of the Jewish community is Iran in the Middle East, which come and go as they please.
For decades Iranian regime needed the assurance of the U.S. to be recognized and not to be toppled by a coup or something. The US never facilitated Iran with that; hence, the issue of the nuclear program! For the time being, politics dictates to keep the fanatics in check by Iran, in Syria, Iraq, etc. The backing of the Syrian rebel is now mainly by KSA and the European countries,Turkey, US, . . . are gently pulling back while US is redirecting its involvement in Iraq, yet again with the cooperation of Iran and none other than the IRGC (Qods Reg.) and not Iranian Army as yet!!

the only help Iran did in Afghanistan was to mediate at the time of Harat uprising ,and US Airplane never flew over Iran while attacking Afghanistan.
Here I ask you to show us any proof for your claims.

. .
While these information may not be widely available; however, if you go through the internet you can find references to these co-operations. I heard about this cooperation on T.V. from US Ambassador to the U.N. in 2001. Below I did a quick search on the net FYR:

"Following the 9/11 attacks, Iran assisted the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and participated in international efforts to establish a new Afghan government. . . . According to Kenneth Pollack, a former CIA intelligence analyst on the Middle East, while members of the sixplus-two group, such as Russia and Pakistan, opposed a U.S. invasion of Afghanistan, Iran supported the plan. Officials from the United States and Iran began meeting outside the six-plus-two forum to develop a plan to topple the Taliban."
mepc and it is dot organization!!

"the only help Iran did in Afghanistan was to mediate at the time of Harat uprising . ."
This one is from Wiki while it isn't always a reliable source, but you can also find this in other websites:
"On 11 November 2001, U.S. Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha 554 ("Texas 08") was inserted by helicopter near Herat.[7] As planned, Iranian commandos secretly entered Herat to begin the insurrection . . ."
Check wiki uprising in Herat 2001

If the above is not proof enough, then I must get a hold of General Soleimani currently in Iraq to verify the above!! :buba_phone:
P.S. Sorry it seems I am not allowed to put up links yet!! :-)

.
The fact is.
Iran have a genuine interest in iraq of its national security and limited sphere of influence.

US as usual sticking its dirty nose every where claimung its there problem and messing everything up.
Silently disturbing balance of power every where then claiming clean hands.

. .
as far as I know, Iran has never officially asked Maliki to step down. But if true, throw that to face of those who say Iraq is Iran's puppet.

What's the point of confronting those Arabs with reality, I did several times and none of them answer me back as they have nothing to say, they just ignore it.

What difference does that make? If I had two IR flags below my avatar instead of U.S., then my argument would be valid? :yahoo:

First I said strongly rumored and second, provided some online information regarding the issues and here is some more:

. . . When the United States invaded Afghanistan in October 2001, the moderate Khatami administration provided significant assistance in deposing the Taliban regime, a longtime enemy of Iran and its most significant national security threat . . . During the U.S. invasion, Iran opened its airspace to U.S. forces, provided highly valuable intelligence on the movement of Taliban fighters, closed its borders to al-Qaeda, and agreed to return any American soldiers forced to land in Iran.
muftah website (Sorry not allowed to post link yet!!! Look under US invasion of Iraq strategic consequences for Iran)

Is it really far fetched to think that besides liberating Herat in a joint operation with U.S. Delta Forces, Mojahedin & the Brits, opening their airspace for US air strikes, providing intelligence to US forces and . . . , Iran facilitated the US by providing them with an airfield in the middle of nowhere as well? As I said, it is strongly rumored!! :woot:

This man is an idiot and has never listened to any advice given to him. He is actually ISIS's best propaganda tool.

I think you misunderstood what I am saying. I am saying that Iran government has offered this airport as a temporary strike base to US as part of their cooperation to overthrow the Taliban. It is not that US had a secret base in Iran without Iranian government knowing about it!! If you are saying it is difficult to HIDE this fact, well that is why you have the rumors of having this airport active all of a sudden for a few months. As an Iranian are you familiar with what is happening in Natanz Nuclear Facility? I am sure you can't even get near the place and the same thing can happen with a base. If you check the location of the airport, you will see it is away from the main road and most of it surrounded by mountains in an isolated area. Have the Iranian army or IRGC surround it and no one will be able to get close to this deserted airport which is still not used now.
And yes it is completely possible if the parties involved; e.g., Iranian and U.S. government, to have such a base active in Iran.

By the way, I think you mean Rambo 6 and not Rocky #6!! :cheesy:

you're right , mad bad .

i just skimmed through his post

I think you misunderstood what I am saying
yes , i did .

I am saying that Iran government has offered this airport as a temporary strike base to US as part of their cooperation to overthrow the Taliban
they did not .

according to our constitution , no country has the right to even set up a temp. base in iran for any reason .

i see no logical explanation for it either . why should u let your biggest enemy use ur air port ?
By the way, I think you mean Rambo 6 and not Rocky #6!!
nah bro :D
