"Strategic ties" with India is the first step towards "strategic ties" with the USA. Given that India has already signed the LEMOA and thus the US military can use Indian bases whenever they want.

Maybe this is the start of an Iranian rapproachment towards the USA. Trump has zero principles, and has flip-flopped on every major issue, so it's a good a time as any.

Why are you surprised? Persians and people of the subcontinent (including Pakistanis) have the same Vedic origins. Ethnically they are the same people.
