(Reuters) - Iran's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has drafted a bill calling for Iran to try to stop oil tankers from shipping crude through the Strait of Hormuz to countries that support sanctions against it, a committee member said on Monday.

That's gonna piss the US off too much..
That probably will be the reason for the attack if it happens.

about 25 years ago , when iran was not strong , imam khameneii told that if you want to make sanctions on our oil then we will stop oil transit to the world and when we destroyed some of the tankers and ships then sanctions were lift up ... bilakh

The bill only prevents ships and tankers heading to US and Europe frpm passing the strait.Very good move if they do it.No harm to India,China and other countries.Just the ones who are putting all the pressure on Iran.

.
One question, does Iran actually control the Strait of Hormuz? Can they legally close it?

More important is, when will this bill is going to be implemented

Are they going to stop all ships to make sure they are going to the right countries?

as a matter of fact . yes because even sanctuary of US Naval ship is just 450 meter while in other parts of the world it's 10 km , so ....
even when one of them entered our war game area he was kicked out of the gulf and US was forced to replace it because iran told we won't let that enter in Persian gulf again ....

Saber rattling Iran simply dont have this kind of Navy power. What are you guys plannig to do when US and UK send each carrier group to Hormuz like they did last year ? Remember when ( i forgot the name now) a carrier group returned to US for supply then some mullah general pop out nowhere and yelled "Don't come back or we will atack your carrier" in response US and UK send 1 carrier group to Hormuz and staioned there for a month in the end nothing happened :disagree:

well as a matter of fact big ships that want to pass through strait in part of their course had to pass through Iranian territory ,its a region at the west of strait of Hormuz between Greater and lesser Tonb and Bumusa Island .

More important is, when will this bill is going to be implemented
probably never ,and they are only gonna to make some psychological move , I believe this decision is fall in the category of matters that Supreme leader must decide about them .

land based missiles fast attack boats equipped with Hoot torpedo and missiles like Kowsar .us navy if want to stop Iran must enter the strait of Hormuz itself and that's like entering killing Zone when a trap sprang .

funny kid , *** kicking is shooting an unarmed jet , and now that was good in one way because now eveything that comes even close to our border will be a threat and shot , yesterday f-16 took of to syrian heli like 3-4 miles off border , so if it comes to our border will be shot.

Turkey scrambled six F-16 fighter jets in three separate incidents responding to Syrian military helicopters approaching the border on Sunday, its armed forces command said on Monday.

It was the second time in as many days Turkish jets were launched in response to Syrian helicopters flying near the border and comes after a Turkish reconnaissance plane was shot down by Syria late last month.

The jets took off from Incirlik air base in southern Turkey after Syrian helicopters were spotted flying south of the Turkish province of Hatay, the chief of general staff said on the military's website.

Two helicopters had come within 2.5 miles and one had come within 2 miles of the border, it said. Two of the helicopters were MI-8 type aircraft and one was an MI-17, all Russian-built transport helicopters.

On Sunday, Turkey said it had scrambled six F-16s near its border with Syria after similar transport helicopters were spotted flying either within 4 miles of the border or "close" to the border.

Turkey's heightened military activity along its southern border comes after Syria shot down one of its jets over the Mediterranean on June 22, prompting a sharp rebuke from Ankara which said it would respond "decisively".

Turkey has beefed up its troop presence and air defenses along the border since the incident and Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said the military's rules of engagement had been changed and that any Syrian element approaching Turkey's border and deemed a threat would be treated as a military target.

Syria says it shot down the Turkish jet in self-defense and that it was brought down in Syrian air space. Turkey says the jet accidentally violated Syrian air space for a few minutes but was brought down in international air space.

While the incident has heightened tension between the once-close allies, neither Turkey, which fears a local clash escalating into a regional sectarian conflict, nor Syria, has any interest in a confrontation on their shared border.

Turkey has become increasingly vocal against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, calling for him to step down, and has given sanctuary to rebels and groups opposing the Syrian leader. There are more than 35,000 Syrian refugees living in camps on the Turkish side of the border with Syria.

Separately, Turkey's armed forces command said it had carried out air strikes on three separate Kurdish militant targets in northern Iraq between the dates of June 26-30.

It said the strikes were carried out in the Qandil and Zab areas and targeted shelters belonging to the "separatist terror organization", a term used to describe the militant Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) which is fighting for greater Kurdish autonomy in Turkey. It gave no further details.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.

Also the PKK supported by iran and syria , we killed 31+25 so 56 terrorost killed in less than a month , 25 from air strikes , soon to come.

Difference is... we are dealing with the world superpower and you get your a.ss kicked by Syria... now get lost
