Iran's birth rate is reflective of the way Iranian society thinks. Most Iranian people like to have one or two kids. Most people from Upper and Middle class end up having two kids. It's actually the poor and more religious families that end up having big families (6-8 kids).
This is not any different from other countries of the region where the living conditions have improved drastically in recent decades.
For instance in KSA most women do not marry as young women anymore but prefer studies or work. While in nearby Iraq and Yemen (much more poor countries) the fertility rates are much higher.
Also I am not sure what you talk about when you say that only 0,0001% of all Iranians living in exile are "political refugees"?
Most Iranians here in Denmark are that and there are about 10.000 Iranians. Political refugees meaning that they are escaping Iran for political reasons. For instance they don't agree with the system. It does not necessarily mean that they are escaping from a death sentence or a life imprisonment sentence.
Basically 90% of all Iranians that I have met in my time in France, Denmark, USA, Arab world and from visits across the world all were against the system in one way or another.
I don't even understand how a few Mullah's and a few millions of their hardcore supporters can take a whole nation hostage. Why are more people not rebelling?
But anyway before I joined this forum I also expected all Iranians to be against the system but most users here are not (those living in Iran) and surprisingly even those that live abroad sometimes speak on their behalf. Such as yourself from time to time.
Yes, no other Middle Eastern or Arab country is a Western style democracy but at least they live a lot better than Iranians on average, at least those in the GCC and their countries are not isolated by the world community by large nor do they face all those problems that Iran does.
Anyway at the end of the day it is up to the Iranians if they want to live under the Mullah's. I am only giving my opinion as an outsider. Nothing more.
