Featured Iran can begin exporting/importing weapons from Sunday

Which company/country strong enough to resist sanctions ?

China is already having trouble with the US and they can not afford anymore sanctions.

Russia is a huge Israeli/American ally especially under Trump.

So which countries are left ?

Venezuela, the only worthy thing we can get from them is some F-16's they have and reverse engineer the crap out of it.
Those f-16 are as old as our f-4s
Even Venezuela dont want them

Some say we did it ... but the engine.

Will they go for Su-35 or Su-30SME?
SU 30SM, but instead of SU30 , Iran should go for J10. SU30 can be good for bombing mission but for AA combat mission, Pakistan already shutdown most updated Indian SU30 even from F16 older block with MLU. j10 with AL31 tvr is one hell of beast...

AL-31 is a Russian engine. Russia would have to approve of the sale of J-10 with AL-31 engines.

Iran don't have time to waste and JF-17 block 3 will take too long.

Better off with AESA equipped J-10's with urgent delivery. Will serve as a good deterrent. U.S is openly selling to Taiwan so China can return the favour.

Remember when Russia was dragging their feet over S300 and it's crap anyway knocked out by drones.
Fighter plane is not like bread that you can take it immediately. Minimum two to three years required to start production for the aircraft. Iran can get Jf17 B2 already in Pakistan use

I was referring to J-10 from Chinese inventory as they have hundreds. Pak don't have block 2 to spare for Iran from inventory and they defo can't handle the backlash. Not like selling bread.

Iran has tested Chinese fighters and wasn’t impressed.I don’t see Iran Air Force buying 4th gen Chinese fighters unless China does full ToT.

Doesnt make sense to spend 1B+ on Chinese 4th gen planes when US is already testing it’s 6th gen prototype. Waste of money

Russian love money and Iran is there ally ...

Iran could go for the J-31. The Chinese get to test out a 5th generation platform in export service, before deciding on whether to commit to the design And develop it into the J-35 for their Navy. Iran get a modern design with a more reliable engine (RD-93) then the AL-31. Su-35s maybe a decent Russian fighter to complement the J-31s.

in case of fighters Iran should buy from russia and china. if one in million one a of the countries stop to supply parts (due pressure or shifting intrests) at least not all the fighters are on the ground for month or even years. ToT should also be a must.
shah bought all fighters only from the u.s. and europe, we saw what the outcome was.

J-31 maybe a reasonable option baring the aircraft is actually worth the price tag.

Iran may decide to go with a smaller SU-57 order instead to compliment a larger SU-30.

No way RD-93 will beat AL-31 quality. China still lags Russia by over a decade in engine tech.

We shall see, I am not convinced Iran will receive weapons even with this so called embargo being “lifted”. Both Russia and China lack backbone against US hegemony

ِDon't have the range we need on our future airplanes
It's better than all what you have. We need to take positive steps for defense cooperation and embark on full and open technology exchanges at all levels.

RD-93 by the Russian Klimov company and Al-31 is made by the Russian Saturn company. Both are Russian companies. The RD-93 does not generate as much thrust but it’s MTBO (Mean time between overhauls) is longer. The Iranians already operate the RD-33 on their MiG-29, so they are familiar with Klimov Engines.

You are right, they might as well go for the Su-57. Pairing that with the J-31 would At least allow them to operate the best they can purchase.

Also, these kinds of sales may drag out for years, and eventually they may not get them anyway. Your probably right about that too.
