Drugs are produced in Afghanistan.. which is controlled by Iran, why not Iran do some thing there?
It dosn't make sense that drugs being routed through Pakistan, where both sides border control is tough and not through Afghan border where its far convinient and direct.

Tell me about it. Whilst this news isnt great, why the hel* would we want to invade Iran. The Iran border region is infested with smugglers (who on several occasions have attacked and killed Iranian border guards). In turn Pakistan to be honest has not done much, and that is completely understandable given that our limited resources have to be spent on the large threat on our eastern and Afghanistan borders. In our books the Iranian border takes a lower priority, but the same doesnt hold true for them of course.
Having said that our border forces need to communicate more with each other, to avoid friendly fire.

You wont find anything rationale from these fundo nut heads. There sectarian affiliation is the sole modus operandi vis avis Intel geo politics.and all these border incursions are nothing new in Pak Iran case, border forces from both side help smugglers in getting across the other side of the border, hence, this once in awhile firing------

When was the last time Pakistan fired into Iranian territory claiming to chase terrorists?

because more terrorists and smugglers come from Pakistan into Iran. thats why! Iran has better and more serious border controls than Pakistani govt. thats a fact. Also, Pakistan has become the hub for sunni terrorists like Jundullah to cross into Iran and cause problems for iranians. Pakistani govt will say they know nothing ,but who else can be blamed but them?
