Iran Bans English in Primary Schools - Reports

Isn't Quran translated into Farsi?

In India it has been translated into many local languages.

Yes it's translated to Farsi but in more advanced classes you should be able to read/understand Quran properly so more or less it's about understanding Arabic .

.
This should give @BATMAN heartburn.

Why should this give me heartburn... only if you were not blinded with sectarian hate, you should have notice that I was quoting a wish of Iranian.... who was asking end to Arabic dominance in Iran.
This was quite natural for me to ask, how some thing can be dominant in Iran which they hate most !
I still doubt about it. Never seen an Iranian who said he learned Arabic in school.
Never seen an Iranian who has claimed to have learned Arabic in school.

What is the official language of Pakistan? I heard they were changing it to Urdu, then it went back to English?

When you know the answer.. what is the point in asking question?

Hey, do you want me to say that your fathers and forefathers were all stupid and morons? If not, don't say that again, specially not under the topics related to Iran.

You are welcome to call our president as stupid.
When we feel Khamenei is evil, we'll say it when ever it require.

This thread is extremely laughable and wonderfully it's reported by Sputnik.

English is being taught in Iran but after primary schools.

These are the claims of BATMAN and no one takes this serious. FYI Arabic if not second, it surely is third language in Iran.

Khamenei is stupid.

English is everywhere. Even Chinese and Japanese are learning it for education.

For that twitter about Pakistan.

Pakistan never banned English. Pakistan just removed English as an official language.

The problem with your kind is that you think everything happening in Iran is made in khamenei's mind o_O there are more than 2 million people are working in our education system and they are deciding how to run it .

.
Excellent news. Another step to grave for this pagan regime.

Yes I know areas adjacent to gulf speaks Arabic. i.e. Arabic was the native language of the locals.
Those school books must have been from their schools.

Sections of those books are mostly stories about Prophet (pbuh) and Quranic phrases. Nothing to do with what you said.

@pin gu I remember this at the end of every lesson, فوقع ما وقع :omghaha::omghaha: I think author wrote it when he faced shortage of Arabic words in his own memory

.
Honestly I don't get it we never had English in primary school , at the time i went to school we learn it in second year of guidance school which is equal to 7th year or if i'm not wrong 1 year of high school for today kids.

now how we are gonna ban it in primary school is beyond me .

Oh no the horrors from Arabic teachers and exams :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall::undecided::undecided::undecided::undecided: damn you OP :D

but to be fair the quality of our English teachers/books and Arabic teachers/books are not the same

I was commenting about Arabic as language, which I understood, you learn in primary school and is second biggest spoke language of Iran according to the claim in discuss above.
However, what you defined is not Arabic language in true sense, while this much Arabic we also study in Pakistan, but we are not a bit of Arabic speaking country.
Similar to what you have Arabic speaking regions, we have Persian speaking regions but than that's because it was their regional language.

I don't think that it is banned at all

Take a look at the books of institutions that are teaching English to our kids, it's only about lifestyle of English people found in those books. I find very little useful lessons in those books.

It's a big stupidity to ban it, and force our folks to rely on those foreign written books, that only propagates western life style

There is nothing in our news websites about it so just a rumour :D
even if it was true , I would say its bluff as everyone knows value of English but other languages are important too . we invest too much on Arabic and English and gain so little from it

Almost the same thing that you said. I can hardly speak Arabic but can easily understand if i listen or read Arabic sentences. We don't learn how to speak Arabic in fact. And for that you need to live among Arabs, where you feel an urgent need to know Arabic to meet your primary requirements.

Excellent news. Another step to grave for this pagan regime.

This pagan regime let his jewish students learn Hebrew in their schools and most of them get their budgets from this pagan regime .
do your religious regime  help students with Iranian root learn Farsi ?

Arabic is not nowhere near the second spoken language of Iran , the honor easily go to Azeri language .

more importantly Arabic course in Iran school more designed to teach you Arabic Grammar without any emphasize on using the skill you acquire into something useful like conversing with other , as a result its certain that you forget the not used knowledge in just one year after the school
I recall once when we complained in 2nd year of high-school to our teacher about it he laughed and said he teach these books for 16 years but he still cant speak Arabic.

if you ask me if they don't change the content of Arabic books its just wasting kids time , they must tune down all those grammar craps and emphasize a little more on how to converse with others in that language or how to be able to understand what others say in that language , for Gods sake nobody talk the Dialect they teach you its not like the dialect of Egypt its not like the dialect of Arabs around Persian gulf, its not like how people in east Africa or North Africa talk and its no where near how people in Syria or Lebanon talk.
