Iran bans English in primary schools after leader's warning

It should have started with you. Else none of us will be on the forum in the first place(except Pakistanis who can speak their language). Thanks to our language the world has become a globalised village and it has brought people from around the world/different cultures together.


I think it's an overreaction by the regime. They seem to have been more worried by the recent protests than I thought. I think the government should calm down, overreacting might only make the issue worse in future. Right now I don't think the regime faces any threats to its authority/rule per se.

what overreaction? It was issued in 2016 ... and the leader didn't call for not teaching English but he asked why just English? what about Spanish, German, French or East Asia languages.
You guys don't know anything about Iran but also ready to make comment ... like western politicians.
