By closing the Strait of Hormuz, Iran can throttle oil and gas flows but would also cut its own main trade link with the world

It seems the writer is little bit out of frame ... shutting down strait of Hormuz is an option on our table whenever we won't be able to trade our Oil freely thus when we can't to do so it won't hurt us anymore but it'll share pains and hardship with those people who want to see my country weak .

as i said the writer is out the picture for eg persian gulf missile operational range is 300 km and we don't need more than this range for destroying enemies ....

That is just Anti Ship Missile Range . Iran is light years ahead of it's neighboring countries ( Except Israel ) in Missile Technology . Both in Range and Innovation . Read about Fajr-3 MIRV . The number of countries which have made MIRV can be counted on fingers . Iran is one of them . Can you tell me how far your Country is in Missile development ?? .
