I don't see anything that associates him to Iranian or sub-group of Iranians (persians). They have many things in common with baathists except one thing: secularism.Well, it is complicated. He is surly not an Arab nationalist and don't overly focus on the black turban as it is just an alleged linage that brings gold, prestige, and dukhtars. He is also not a Persian king in the classic sense. I think of him as a Persian Shia extremist who wouldn't compromise his Persian identity for anything. Anti-arab literature hardly changed during his era and afterwards.
Which anti-arab literature are you talking about? islamic republic actually produces more anti-Iranian literature. It's only that Iranian people are not the afghans during taliban or Iraqis during daesh rule in mosul to bow down or to lack intellect, cultural power.
Iranians are battling them by intellect and have set borders which they can't cross. This struggle will end in favore of Iranians (good will defeat evil), neighbouring countries and Central Asia in long term. Divide the history in parts of 100 years and you know which progress I'm talking about. The future looks bright.
