"The USP will be each team will have one icon player and three quality overseas layers. The icon players will be an overseas player with great repute, preferably someone who has represented his country in International matches. Each team can sign a maximum of 25 players," it said.

Excellent news Sab da :tup::tup::tup:

One big reason why such a venture will succeed and not go the way of the " Premier Hockey League " is because ....Football already has a strong viewership in Bengal, Goa , Kerala, Sikkim and the entire North East . Hopefully the marketing strategies are good and manage to generate spectator interest across the northern belt and hopefully the funds and sponsorship are not a concern..

Wonderful news. We need a more variety in sports. :tup:

It is time to promote all games apart from cricket as if that is the only game that India plays.

Likewise, it should be done for hockey.
