1. This is real. No conspiracy theory. A nation has been invaded, occupied.
2. The idiots we see firing in the sky in TV are no army or militia or fighting force. The real fighting units from UK SAS, Marine Cdos, French Foreign Legion, Jordan SF and Qatar SF are kept out of TV and the media who are all embedded. But now news is leaking out. The Italians and the other NATO allies minus Turkey are sending thousands of "advisers.
3. A noteworthy inclusion in the air assault has been the participation of UAE Air Force. Firstly, battle inoculating them. And secondly warning Iran that UAE has a powerful air force.
4. Oil can hardly be the objective here. Libya's share is only marginal in the world market. The objectives, in my view, are:
a. With his numbers dwindling Sarkozy needed to become a Napoleon. Although slightly taller than the original Bonaparte, he shares his weakness for women. So after Serra Leon invade Libya.
b. WCC never forgives. It has no compassion and pursues an adversary relentlessly. Only Castro has understood this. Gadaffi thought he had become acceptable after sorting out the Lockerbie affair and formally (and foolishly) giving up nuclear program. Once in the list, and then there is no excuse.
c. Libya is said to have gold in coffer and gold deposit.
d. In relation to Europe and the Mediterranean Libya is strategically vital to WCC. Hannibal was born here. Gen Tariq was a Barber.
e. Disposing of nuclear waste has become an increasing headache for WCC. Spreading them in the hot sands of the wide desert is said to be the best course. Libya's south is all Sahara.
f. Whenever a movement starts with potentiality of becoming anti-WCC, immediate steps are taken by WCC to infiltrate this movement and guide it to own advantage. The Wahabi movement in the deserts of Arabia and Bachha-i Saqa overthrowing Shah Amanullah of Afghanistan are examples. This is in play here, and is being played out in Afghanistan and India (how dare they refuse to buy F-35?)
5. Gadaffi had carefully ensured that no alternative institution grew in Libya capable of threatening his powers. The Military is not a centralized organization with a defined chain of command. There is no political party. This has kept him in power this long, but now it is too late.
6. Every Libyan male and female receive elementary militarily training in school/college. Everyone owns fire arms. Everyone owns a car and knows how to drive. These were made compulsory by Gadaffi as part of his Doctrine of Traditional People's War to face an invader. Even if Gadaffi is killed Libya will remain in turmoil. They hate foreigners and will start ambushing them as soon as the first phase is over. Except the pro Idrisite royalists based around Benghazi most of the tribes are pro Gadaffi. The Libyan War has just begun.
