Intolerance in Pakistan: How to tackle the problem?

My post was deleted because ? I did not side with any other state. Did not support any seperation. Did not mock anyones faith or provoke them. Please give me a reason. Was anything I said a lie ? Is trying to address an issue now provoking someone ?

Pakistan is quite tolerant, it is foreign funded fifth columnists who are destroying this tolerance.

And practically we Pakistanis are quite tolerant compared to others in the region.

No one wants to confront the issue of intolerance. No, they honestly or dishonestly assert that there is no intolerance in Pakistan.

They all knowingly wish to live in their cocoon that everything is fine. The only reason why, I think, is because they feel like a part of the majority, so no one has yet turned around and pointed fingers at them. So of course, in their lives, everything is fine. They haven't yet been refused water for having a different belief, or kicked out of University for a different faith.

How can someone truly know what others go through when they have never faced it? I always say to people who say that Ahmadis make up persecution in Pakistan to say for one day to all your friends and family that you are Ahmadi, and see your treatment. Then come back to me.

The amusing thing is I see so many Pakistani posters posting colossal amounts of lectures on tolerance to others about treatment of minorities in their countries and respecting religious feelings, yet I see these same posters supporting, defending and/or justifying actions of the mob in Pakistan and insulting the beliefs of others.

The matter on that particular community was solved through debate and democratic process. You can reverse that using the same procedure.
Stop maligning Pakistan based on once in a blue moon incidents. Ahmedis/Qadiyanis are not being hunted down by common people. Sure they fall victim to extremists but such incidents are not on a daily basis nor they are celebrated by the masses.
Their recent growth tells a different story statistically. So once again it is nothing but a collective effort to deem Pakistanis as intolerant.

The reason you and I arent complaining is because we havent faced it. Shopkeepers have refused to provide service to minorities. There was poster in Haffeez Centre here in lahore saying "idhr kaidyani kutton ko aanay key ijaazat nahin hai". There is also an ongoing topic going on this very instant how hindus are being pushed out of their homes. This doesnt just extend to minorities. Iv seen posters commanding that should anyone even utter a word against the Prophet/Islam should be beheaded without trial. And ofcourse these incidents dont happen everyday but they still happen on a scale at which they simply can't be ignored anymore.

Thats the point! its not difficult to do such stuff and feed into media stream while having a camera and some paid personal flying monkies to get the job done.I have seen alot.what your saying does not applies to all.

Sir ji what we did to qadiyanis was wrong we are no one to decide who can and cant be Muslims let Allah be the judge and on intolerance do you remember the size of mobs that killed alleged blasphemers ?

I refuse to blame a common Pakistani who is battling out his survival 9 to 5 each day every day or label them as intolerant. Frustrations boil up and are there for anyone with an understanding of the culture or tradition to take full use of it.

As far as definition of Muslim is concerned you can take the debate to the parliament and let it be resolved there. As of now the definition of Muslim is democratically accepted and with time it can change.

I think there is no point in discussing further.

I will keep on saying these are isolated incidents stoked by media to rage the youth and you will keep saying these are everyday occurrences.

I will keep saying lack of education by design is the root cause of problem you will keep saying the mullahs have been like this forever.

I will keep saying the matter with Qadiyanis is settled democratically(like every other cult in history) you will keep saying we have no right to decide on that.

So lets agree to disagree and work for something constructive instead of the favorite 'argument for the sake of argument' track record.

I've been a long-time follower of Pakistani media. I can vouch for that. Earlier there used to be only one Zaid Hamid and even he was just pure comedy. Now it's like there's a race among political parties' spokespersons and even educated ex-armymen.

There's this guy Ali Muhammad Khan of PTI. Boy, is he abusive! I understand he needs to score brownie points being a politician but at least keep it to a level where I can watch without the headphones.

Cow vigilant should stay away from internal matters of Pakistan and let people enjoy beef biryani
Those who elected butchers of gujrat as PM Rapist Yogi (who openly tells people to rape dead muslims women) as CM and asshole like Ramdev and Ranjnath should be last one to talk about tolerance and coexistence

Well intolerance in Pakistan is eveywhere on roads, malls and attitude - make government actionable laws. Women has to take lead and teach society about tolerance for each other.
