I know there was a thread on this issue in 2010 but I did not see any solution to the issue there; does anyone have any ideas on how to improve speed without changing the ISP or computer?
I think my internet speed is too slow as compared to what it should be - I have ATT DSL and the two computer symbols give a "speed" of 400 Mbps whereas those at work give 100 Mbps and are much much faster.
the speedtest @ Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test gives "ping" 80 ms (Huh? so wheres the pong), download of 0.53 Mbps and upload of 0.32 Mbps. these values change every time I run the test!!!!!
Is th issue the service ie ATT, the computer, software or a virus? I mean what does the rated speed of 400 mean given the 'test" speed of 0.53 Mbps (!).
