India is all set to begin interim operations in the strategically important Chabahar port project next week.
Union Minister of State for Shipping, Mansukh Mandaviya informed in a tweet message. India has selected an Iranian company, Kaveh Port and Marine Services, for running the operations for 18 months till it selects a firm to manage and maintain the facility for long term.

Chabahar port located in the Sistan-Baluchistan Province of Iran on the south-eastern coast is of great strategic importance to India. It will provide India an alternative and reliable access route into Afghanistan, bypassing Pakistan. This would also give India access to resource-rich Central Asia.

I hope US puts sanctions on the Indians! But it seems India is too big to be bullied by the US.

India has an independent foreign policy. We have remianed non alligned for years and for years to follow. US cannot risk making an enemy out of India and watch India float away with China and Russia. US cannot do India any harm and in this globalized economy, I am sure a sanction will not affect us much.

:D Fake news.

Obviously :D
