I disagree. If we are going to be taken seriously, then we need to learn to keep good relations with both these countries regardless of how close either are to India. Don't we have competent diplomats in our foreign service or what?

Pakistan now has proper and capable foreign minister along with a capable team they should reap the benefits from Arabs as well as Iran's without indulging in their internal wars. Pakistan lost the opportunity during Iraq war but now there is no excuse, the USA/Western powers already milking Arabs at least we should get some share.

Not a mediator but reconcilator or communicator ...
