Insurgents flooding in from Pakistan to north: Afghan official

Published: April 29, 2015

An Afghan interior minister official said on Wednesday that insurgents are arriving in huge numbers from Pakistan in an effort to destabilize Afghanistan’s northern provinces, the Associated Press reported.

Sediq Sediqqi, a spokesperson for the Afghan interior ministry said that the Afghan troops are engaged in fighting militants on the outskirts of the capital of Kunduz province, where the Afghan Taliban have launched an offensive.

Sediqqi further said the Afghan Taliban are joined by “terrorists” arriving from Pakistan, which also include foreign fighters from neighboring countries.

The Afghan Taliban started their annual “spring offensive” last week, vowing nationwide attacks in what is expected to be the bloodiest fighting season in a decade.

Sediqqi added that around 200 militants have been killed so far, along with 12 Afghan soldiers in Kunduz fighting.

Pakistan on June 15, 2014 launched a military operation against militants in the troubled North Waziristan agency of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).

The militants are arriving in northern Afghanistan not on a Pakistani mission to destabilize the north but are actually fleeing Pakistan in the wake of Zarb-e-Azb to save their own skin.

This is not fair guys.

You know Afghanistan does not have the army and resources to man and protect their borders. Yet you are utting the onus on them?

Why can't you help out and prevent this exodus from destroying them further?

PA will happily go into Afghanistan to clear up spill over.

This is spill over which is being cleared up from Afghanistan conflict. Where do you think they came from? Do you think it was Pakistanis living in Waziristan? These people are poor and simple.

Afghanistan is the issue. They need to deal with their issues. Pakistan can't keep mothering them and cleaning up their doodoo after them all the time.

Why go into Afghanistan? No sovereign nation will allow that.

Why can't you just prevent the exodus by manning your side of the border and crushing them from both flanks during these operations?

What you are doing is sweeping outwards from your home, expecting someone else to deal with the crap.

.
Why couldn't the Afghan government anticipate this ?

When they knew insurgents were coming through, why didn't they kill them ?

the current rhetoric is just unacceptable.

.
They're just going back home to Afghanistan, since Pakistan is deporting non-resident Afghans.

You are not being honest with yourself, and neither is the Afghan government.

Insurgents going into Pakistan from Afghanistan = Pakistan's problem.
Insurgents going into Afghanistan from Pakistan = Pakistan's problem.

The hypocrisy is obvious and it's never going to help.

Not really buddy Pakistan is a way powerful country compared to Afghanistan. If you really want to have an ally in Afghanistan then you have to do it no better way to show that Pakistan genuine ally for Afghanistan.

Its good for both countries.
