What's new

Inside Pakistan's Sharp Sword - The Special Service Group (SSG).

The economic term or something else?

Correct.
A typical arab Captain is worth in dollar terms a lot more than equivalent captain, major, colonel, even a brigadier of Pakistan army.
This convincing him to do monkey gymnastics, drills all day is difficult.

The primary difference between Pakistani and maybe Arab armies
is of culture,
Pakistan army practices almost the same colonial style command and planning regime.
Critical thinking and individual existence are not tolerated.

What is the level of fighters trained for Kashmir or Afghanistan in the past compared with SSG troops?

U seriously need to get of ur high horse n smell the coffee, so u can truely wake up n open ur eyes n get out of this make belief world that uve created around yr self.......as wt ever sh!t ur smoking is good.

When the Saudis had their hind side handed to them by the houtis, they ran to PA n begged them to train their, sas, rangers, delta, COS , qualified so called special forces.
First two course were ran here in Pakistan, before a permanent training school was set up by PA to train the saudis at Khamis Mushait.
Initial thoughts:
The Saudis specially the officers sent to be retrained, some were physically unfit n exhibited the same traits as the saudi ranger trained officers i met all those years ago.
Serious lack of discipline, eg it was common for the nco/jco to not getting up when an officer would approach.

Seeing all this our contingent demanded a free hand n they got it.
The product they produced was far superior to any thing that the Saudis had.

U seriously need to read Gen shorskoff book about desert storm n the Iraqi armed forces the so called best trained n equipped n battle hardened army in the arab world back in the day n see how quickly n horriblly it folded, to get to grips with reality.

does this mean one or all of the following?
1 - pakistan army capacity to train SSG officers is low
2 - quality of officers applying is low that they fail to meet the standards
3 - standards are too high , way above to meet, set too difficult for no reason
4 - basic fitness of the army has gone down?
The percentage of the any population fit to undergo and complete and SOF training is extremely low, that’s why they have “Special” in their name, it goes without saying. The standards are stringent and no compromise is made, there is ample intake of SSG qualified officers and soldiers every year so that’s very unlikely to change in the near to distant future.

By your logic, if any Arab captain is worth more than any SSG individual then any SSG qualified soldier is definitely better than a random guy on pdf who has no idea what the **** he is talking about.

Thank you so much! What would be the average Physical Screening Test scores for a successful graduate? Run times, pullups, swim times, etc.
The qualification standards are classified and not really known to anyone outside the training cadre, if you want to find out then I suggest you boot up and head to Cherat.

Son,
that high horse is called on ground experience.
IF you look carefully enough I have named the officers by initials, what more do you want ?
