INSAT-4E/GSAT-6 India's First S-DMB Satellite For Defence & Strategic Applications Ready For Launch

You need to have a separate S-DMB Supported Device - Samsung, Motorola and LG offer such devices but they aren't currently available in the Indian market for we have no such application in India as of now - The 2G/3G mobile network will also be used to exchange security and billing data, as well as to support the point-to-point selective retransmission.

Certain channels on S-DMB will be free of cost but some will have to be charged.

So after S DMB launch we need to by supported device ? Only then we can use this service for which this Sat is for ?

Actually we are under performing on many fronts - a lot of scope for improvement and introspection - let's not go too far and take this satellite for example - GSAT-6 / INSAT-4E was supposed to be launched by 2010 but it got struck in the infamous Antrix-Devas deal or scam whatever you call it - we are already late by five years.

India is where it deserves to be-right now.
No man we are Vishwa Guru of the world. No country have rich cultural and civilization history Like we have . we must become a Super Power once again. Guys who never existed when ruled this world have overtaken us. How sad .

I love to see our kids using these technologies and become prosper . There are are lots of difference between General public in UK US and Our people . We need to close this gap. Our people deserves better life . Happy to see to things are changing even without any help from government so far . Its times government get into action :-)

The ultimate weapons will be space based tracking of missiles and laser. :D

And why? Because India allowed itself to be conquered and for many decades after independence followed pathetic socialist populist policies coupled with the fact that many were more interested in voting along communal/social lines and worshiping idols (Gandhis) than voting for legitimate change.

Only in the past few years has this begin to change and you can see the fruits of this for yourself. This is why I say India is where ti deserves to be.

The launch of GSLV-D6 carrying India's latest communication satellite GSAT-6 is scheduled on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.

Earlier, GSLV-F02, GSLV-D3 and GSLV-F06 flights could not accomplish the mission objectives. Subsequently, failure analysis committees were formed to -

(a) carry out in-depth analysis of the flight performance and identify causes for the failure
(b) recommend corrective measures and future course of action on the GSLV Vehicle

As per the failure analysis committee recommendations, ISRO has implemented the modifications and improvements in GSLV, which include independent inspection and quality checks for all critical components and sub-assemblies, change of bearing housing material, revision of tolerances and seal clearances of Fuel Booster Turbo Pump of Cryogenic Engine, redesign of the Cryogenic Stage Lower Shroud, revision of connector mounting scheme and wire tunnel configuration.
