INS VIKRAMDITYA to visit Sri Lanka on January 21st

A small mistake was made by our ancestors while quite India movement that they didn't bothered about Lanka, else Lanka could have been a part of "republic of India".

Maybe in one of your bollywood fantasies yes, Not in reality

There is a reason that even colonists governed Ceylon as a separate dominion than what was the Indian subcontinent, Even the Brits that created the what is called India , Governed the island as a distinct separate entity owing to obvious reasons

Oh btw it was not such a small mistake of your "ancestors" that couldn't even keep large chunks of territory gifted by the British both in the West and East.. Maybe you should ponder about that.. Without blabbering about nations that were never part of it,.. Lol

When we are visiting Maldives ? Situation there is very worrisome.

Well Maldives is feeling the heat now. India pressurised them to release ex-president Nasheed and few days back he is freed and in UK now for treatment.

Equally worrying: The Maldives has become a hotspot for Islamic State recruitment, with more than 200 Maldivians estimated to have traveled to Syria and Iraq. That would be the highest rate of recruitment, per capita, in the world — equivalent to 160,000 Americans joining the militant group. Pro-Islamic State rallies have been held in the Maldives without any response by the police. And Islamic State fighters who returned home there have not faced prosecution.

In the Maldives, the first democratically elected president is imprisoned while Islamic State fighters go free - The Washington Post

It will be a sight to watch for the Lankans, when INS Vikramaditya sails towards its shores, with its majestically led Carrier Battle Group, some of the best from our inventory on display.

Very good move.. Sri Lanka will be impressed sure shot

It's not the first time Lankans have seen Air Craft Carriers mind you.. Most of the worlds best pass through it's shores .. Just that you know

This is USS Carl Vinson
