From the above report it becomes very clear that the ship has been very substantially reworked. Usually steel renewal/replacement in jobs like this is not substantial; and is limited to areas where corrosion/wastage exceeds certain limits (determined by inspection and NDT).
While the report indicates that steel work has been largely confined to additional structural erection/fabrication and purpose-specific buttressing. The reports about equipment and electricals clearly show a huge renewal and rebuild. Which means that the vital equipment fitouts are all new and/or zero-digit on counters. Same for propulsion/generation equipment.
All in all, a major resurrection is under way. The IN will get what will be a majorly new ship.

They say except the hull, which itself heavily modified, all other systems are completely new. This will add lots of punch to the Indian navy as force projecting instruments. Waiting for the launch.
