its not just compassion that is lacking, but normal ethical behaviour and courtesy that is severely lacking in Pakistanis.
Witness that Pakistanis don't generally say Thank you or Sorry. Customer service quality is pretty low, just go to a Pakistani restaurant and compare them to other restaurants and you will see what i mean. Recently i took a bunch of my colleagues to a Pakistani restaurant and they loved the food because it wasn't extra spicy but they asked me a question which i didn't have an answer to. They asked me why are all the staff so cranky? No smile, no friendly gestures, no courteous greetings. To be honest i have never noticed it myself, probably being so used to it until they pointed it out. So i decided to compare and went to a few different Pakistani restaurant and witnessed the same thing in every single one of them. Then i went to non-Pakistani restaurants and found that apart from a Vietnamese restaurant, all others were totally different experience, the staff greeted us warmly, they always had a smile and always asked if we were enjoying our meal and if there is something else they could do or get for us. It made us feel welcome while in Pakistani restaurants it felt like they were doing us a favour by letting us eat there.
I hate to admit but Indians come across alot friendlier than Pakistanis.
I consider Pakistanis being way more real and blunt than others. Same goes with Russians. White people generally have a superficial niceness about them that rubs me the wrong way.
