Collectively as a nation ppl should stop turning everything into PTI vs PMLN. The bottom line should be to make an effort to end corruption and elect competent ppl. Then watch Pakistan soar to new heights.

imran khan is a moron and given access to state coffers his ideal government would look like dozens of deserted hospitals and school..you need employment first to provide all services including health and education...free education and no jobs leads to brain drain...free health and no work leads to useless population explosion..let people find work by building power plants, transports, connectivity and then they can pay for all services such as education and health..I am against a socialist welfare state as it is a waste of tax payer money to feed the undeserving..

When Imran Khan first started his major push with things like requiring party members to declare assets etc. I thought that he was heading in the right direction. The whole nation is fed up with giving a chance to the same ppl over and over for little to no result. So might as well give this guy a chance. Then as he gained some momentum he got impatient and let just anybody in his party. A lot of corrupt idiots of other parties joined PTI and that's when it became the same to me as all the other idiotic political parties, filled with parasites.

Give 100% credit of reduce load shedding to Nawaz Shareef. But would you hold him 100% responsible for corruption? There hasn't been a single audit of any of projects under Nawaz Sharif.

LAHORE: In an unprecedented development to boost economy, Pakistan is all set to build country's first-ever NAPHTHA Cracker Complex (NCC), a state-of-the-art infrastructure to change petrochemical raw substances into value-added products ranging from construction, home décor, appliances, furniture, medical care, paints, cleaning stuff and top of them military gadgets.

As of now there is no naphtha cracker complex in Pakistan, while India has nine such complexes providing it a tremendous mileage in industrial and economic progress. At present, Pakistan has to buy all petrochemical feedstock from international market that take heavy toll on import bill and prices of long range of items used by chemical industry, mainstay of trade and manufacturing business and people in their daily routine. The naphtha cracker complex will revolutionise industrial landscape and life of the common man simultaneously.

The game-changing development came after 18-member delegation of the Pakistan Chemical Manufacturing Association (PCMA) met recently with Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms in his office, Islamabad where it was announced to build a naphtha cracker complex to catalyse economic progress.

Acknowledging the naphtha cracker complex as a strategic need, the minister suggested the PCMA to prepare a feasibility report and viable business plan in consultation with market experts and technologists to help ministry make it a reality.

It was shared in the meeting that the cracker would have a great impact on all industrial zones to be set up along the route of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

To rejuvenate the chemical industry, the meeting also acknowledged the efforts of the PCMA delegation, which recently visited China to materialise 33 projects and a joint venture with the Chinese chemical giants.

The meeting said that the Planning Commission would soon summon a roundtable to promote industry-academia linkages in creating 'Knowledge Economy' by involving the PCMA and all the heads of chemical/ chemistry departments of major universities, including HEC, from February 15 to February 20. It was also decided that the PCMA would carve out a 10-year plan as a pragmatic roadmap for chemical industry.

Present at the meeting were PCMA Vice Chairman Abrar Ahmad, Secretary General Iqbal Khawaja, senior member Pervez A Khan, Pharmagen Managing Director Pervez Sufi, Ittehad Chemicals CEO Ghulam Mustafa and Dr Farrukh Mukhtar.

Where they will build? I think Gwadar or Karachi will be suitable place and they should keep options to future upgrades and later we can export as well if we can produce excess

About time. This was visited like 14 years ago and the Naptha plant never materialised. Hope they can make a success of it this time.

Terrorism went down because of Raheel Sharif and army and load shedding may have been gone down in Lahore and Punjab but urban and rural areas of sind are facing load shedding from minimum 6 hours to maximum 18 hours.

Why should we give 100% credit to PMLn for reducing load shedding (and I don't believe that it has actually reduced not in rurals areas anyway).
You mean to say miraculously nawaz Sharif built power houses in 2 and half years. All of the power houses that become operational in 2013 and later were started by previous govt. Reduction in global oil prices also helped us to buy more oil to generate more electricity.
The only power house they installed in last 8 years and that is operational is solar park which will only generate at max 20% of installed capacity.

So everyone at Defense forum knows Nawaz is supporting RAW and yet not a single leak from Pakistan Military about it? So our military doesn't know? or don't care that RAW agent is our Prime Minister? Pakistan foreign policy is not controlled by parliament and yet people continue to accuse the government of failed Foreign policy? Is Nawaz corrupt? yes, he is not a saint but Pakistanis need learn to work with the devil they know. Need to ask simple questions, is Pakistan improving? is our economy getting better? People of Pakistan will decide who they want as their next leader and till then Nawaz is PM of Pakistan. Last 4 years of bashing and accusation didn't change anything so lets keep the politics for elections only. Once elections are done, we should stop political basing on all the forums and work as Pakistanis. I am not expert in economics but if you need to kick start an economy, you have to invest and since Pakistan doesn't have money laying around so our government has to borrow. Nawaz doesn't have to be a great public speaker or even have good grasp of English language to become a good leader for Pakistan.
