Louis Farrakhan, the leader of Nation of Islam, chanted “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” slogans during a recent visit to Tehran on the 39th anniversary of the 1979 US embassy takeover in the Iranian capital.

Farrakhan visited Iran on 39th anniversary of 1979 US embassy takeover on November 4, ahead of the renewal of US sanctions against the country.

The renewed sanctions are the result of the American withdrawal from the agreement negotiated by the Obama administration, which purported to prevent Iran’s development of nuclear weapons but merely delated it.

The Iranian state TV released a video of his remarks addressing students at the University of Tehran, in which he led the “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” slogans.

So far he has met several top officials including the Iranian supreme leader Ayatullah Khamenei
