We don't care if he is or not. But I know Indonesia is one of very few muslim countries that is hostile to China.

That only happened during the "new order regime" under Soeharto presidency, because they blamed CCP involvement with Indonesian Communist Party movement and coup attempt. After the regime tumbled relationship between Indonesia and China had been getting better.

Wikipedia indeed doesn't meet academic criteria as the source of citation; but the story about discrimination on Indonesian chinese ethnic from this wikipedia source I would say majority is still correct and based on credible citations; or at least is still in line even with history class in our own high schools.
Our own gloomy history is not pleasant to be told indeed esp toward people from other nations, but as great nation we need to admit our dark history for learning purpose, we dont need to be ashamed as long as we can and want to learn from the past for the goodness. Discrimination happened everywhere in many region where major different ethnics are present. It happened with US in the past as well with native Indian, black african, and asian; also happened in most European, Asian and African countries. Basically human has dark side, and discriminating our own (based on different gender/race/religion/social class/etc) for the sake of pride/security/jealousy/etc is one of them.
The most important thing is: in Indonesia we are changing and a lot improving now.
