Could be however unrealistic. We have a much stronger production base. Take rice production. We export rice, while Indonesia imports. The reason (they even admit it): our farmers are more or less fully mechanized, while in Indonesia the people still do rice planting in a primitive or traditional way

We achieved self sustainability of rice production in the 90s. Then, indonesia realized agriculture would not take Indonesia into the next level, the 90s crisis is partly caused by weak domestic industrial base. Nowadays, agriculture is pretty much not the focus for now, we rather spread our wealth to help Viet farmers by buying from them while we focus on our Industrial base which is larger than Viet entire economy.
