Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said Indonesia and Turkey had agreed to build a joint plane and tank.
Retno said the joint project was part of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector.

"One of the collaborations that has great potential and continues to be encouraged is the joint development of the defense industry, including the joint development of aircraft and small-defense tank products," Retno said in a virtual press conference in Ankara, Tuesday (12/10) night.

Regarding N 219 is not very clear but as stated in older news, like 3 years ago, is that TAI is interested to manufacture N 219 in Turkey.

The plane will be 5 meter longer than CN 235 and it will have 50 seats for passengers

What kind of weapons does Indonesian defence industry produce?

If the N245 is really going to be 5m longer than the CN235, it will become even longer than the C295.. the C295 is only 3m longer than the CN235.. and its capacity should be much more than just 50 pax.. 70 pax is more likely..

@RadarGudumluMuhimmat Your comment please, look like it has become G2G cooperation

Nice plane, but I don't think there is a need for this plane in Turkey and neighboring countries. It's too small. So it's a low probability. First of all, a customer is required for a product to be produced.

Turkey has a need for regional passenger aircraft, I don't know at what level N245 is, it would be a good choice especially if we had the chance to integrate our future 6000SHP turboshaft/turboprop type engines and if thermoplastic components with new technology could be used for the fuselage, but I don't know the maturity level of the product, If it's already a finished product. It doesn't make sense to have a partnership. The N245 is purely for show, it makes sense for the Indonesian islands, but not for us.

As I put in other forum, N 219 is very potential for cargo plane, just like FED EX who bough 100 SkyCourier plane for US needs where the plane is in the same class with N 219.

N245 hasnt yet a finish design, they havent done the detail design and preliminary design IMO is also not yet completed, it is just still in the level of conceptual design.
