Indo-Tibetan meet proposes boycott of Chinese

What is a Chinese product? Is a Samsung phone or an Apple phone a Chinese product or is it a Korean or American product? The entire manufacturing base of the world has moved to China. Boycotting everything "Made-in-China" is not practical. Chinese brands like Lenovo or Huawei could be boycotted - but it will neither cause a dent to the Chinese economy nor be beneficial to us in any way. The Chinese Government, for all its faults has done a stellar job in getting a lot of people out of poverty. If any country can actually hurt the Chinese economy, it is the US or the EU as a whole.

I'll just ask a simple question, if Indians make better cheaper or better around same price or even the same products. Why are there people buying Chinese?

First answer what you export which is essential for India.

What does it matter what it is, it could be just a straw.

Fact of the matter is, Indians is buying it, to boycott Chinese product, means that you would need an alternative. Those not buying Chinese product either because they can afford better or can't afford anything at all doesn't matter.

The people that do and will buy Chinese products needs an alternative and at this point the alternatives are sometimes better, but almost always more expensive, if it even exist.

Expensive is better than giving money to an enemy. India can, and will impose counterveiling duties to make Chinese products uncompetitive. Most of the Chinese import to India is non essential consumer items, and not high tech products or strategic goods. Indians are fully capable of producing all consumer goods.

Instead talking the talk why not india walk the walk. Come back when you can until then you neither have any credibility nor have anything meaningful to say on the matter.

Because India cannot manufacture the products we make. They can only make them on online forums and in their own minds. If Indians could make these same goods better and cheaper than us, not only Indians but the whole world would buy Indian goods. But in reality a country that cannot make its own bullet won't manufacture jack.

You can understand with the crazy logic the Indians come up with how their economy is in the gutter. No wonder their economy is a complete disaster. They are very stupid people that will never learn.

By making products expensive (through tariffs, courerveiling duties and quotas on our goods) for average Indians you are making them spend more of their income on the same good that was cheaper before and destroying the middle class. You want to make goods as cheap as possible so people can buy more with their income.
If India could produce them, then every country could produce them. You think other countries can't do the same? Typical low IQ Indian.

You really can't, lol. India is in the WTO, you can't change trade rules for fun. Not unless you want your economy to crash before your eyes.

You are an interesting dude, you keep saying non essential. IT doesn't matter if it;s essential or if you can make it. China isn't going to break into India, we are already here. So essential or not, able to make it or not, India is already buying Chinese.

Indian customers are not forced into buying Chinese, so they buy it for a reason, unless something changes, they will continue to buy Chinese.

Maybe you can debunk this "CCP propaganda" lol.

They are not stupid, they are just prideful and hoped to sneak one by you when you are not looking. So they are actually very cunning. But they are doing it in a stupid way.

But not all Indians are like that. There are some that moved out of India and yet cheering for their homeland on this forum. These are the smart Indians. If they are smart, they wouldn't stay back in India. They will find a way to get out.

But India economy is base on "service" economy. They are skipping manufacturing so they will be the first country become rich without making anything.:rofl::rofl:

if a Chinese toy costs 10 India Rupees and same Indian product costs 40 Rupees ,but the chinese product lasts only 2 days and the Indian product a month. now people from villages dont understand it costs much more in the long run if you keep buys chinese product all he is looking at the time of buying the product is to make his kid happy he dsnt think beyond that.its just not in India it happens in Pakistan, Bangladesh and where ever you find poor people.
