It is also reported tht PA has 5 mi-35 helis tht it will use in 2012 to raise a new assault heli division.

Is tht why they sold rd-93s and Mi series helicopters to Pak,offered su-27,mig-29 in mid 90s ,not to forget there latest attack helicopters???. and now mig-35............ Cancelled 2 joint drills when IN reached russia? heck they even support Pak membership bid for SCO.

India has some 200 Small/Big Deals worth more than 100 Billion $ with Russia which will last for next 20 Years. Even if India Stops any more deal today which is next to impossible. I don't know any other country which has such big relations in whole world. We bailed out Russia many times in bad times. Our relations are everlasting. Business are also growing northward.

Russia and India are equal Friends since decades . It's relations like two Brothers and not like Grandfather and Grandson.

The MIG-35 is still underdevelopment

Be warned though, the Russian birds might be cheap and sexy, the Russians have terrible end-user support. The BAF experienced that with its MIG-29s. The Indians used to experience that at first.

By the way, do you have any source mentioning that Pakistan would be offered any Havocs? It is a very advanced piece of machinery. You must have a very high reputation with Russia to buy that kind of equipment. In fact, India might likely have to wait for some years to get its hands on that beautiful beast.

Otherwise, the Pakistani officers may have been there during a defense exhibition, with the beautiful beast (MI-28) on display.

There are many countries that use the MI-35 in complement with the MI-17 during operations. So, I don't think it would be difficult for Pakistan to acquire some.

Not only does India out-buy anyone else from Russia... They have been our friends in our rainy days, even when we were non-aligned (and thus went against their interests at times), and I don't think both sides will let such a relationship flounder for some 10-15 billion bucks...
