if india with 1.7 billion GDP gets UNSC seat f.. this security council , japan should have got a seat long time ago

and if its about population then even nigeria should be infront of UK and france

The main reason Japan and Germany have problem getting the seat is because of their acts in WW2 and countries still don't trust them specially Russia doesn't trust Japan.

The so called insurgent groups/terrorists in India managed to cause only 125 casualties to India's security forces but BLA and TTP soldiers in your country caused 605 casualties in Pakistan's security forces.

Actually its China that is causing problem. It has nothing against India and supports us for UNSC but it want India to approach single handedly, not along with likes of Japan, which is the major reason China oppose the 4 nation consortium for UNSC expansion.

Screw the UNSC seat. These guys should concentrate more on improving living standards, alleviating poverty among other things. With no experience whatsoever in international politics, am not sure why India wants to be in the UNSC. What is it gonna do there? Promote non alignment?

Unless and until India takes a stand in international politics, sheds this non-alignment principle, partners with the US more and takes part in international activities India wont have a chance to get into the UNSC.

First of all we all know the success of UN in any field, its just a little more than nil.
In high school I had to take a course of 4 months studying UN history in detail. UN is biggest failure in the history of planet. Apart from a few things it has done no good to the world. Now how do we make it successsfull by bringing in more countries like India, germany, Turkey and atleast 10 more.

And you are saying there are no separatist group in other UNSC members country? The main difference is India doesn't use its military to put down the protest like other nations do. If India had allowed it then you would have seen these separatist group running around with their tail between their legs.

It depends on a lot of factor, economic growth, military strength, level of development in the country and the overall global reach. So currently India has to look after its development. And when the time comes eventually countries from around the world will demand for greater say in the UNSC and when that time comes India would have a chance to put forth its agenda.
