your usual Indian style deluded and ignorant assumption ```` that bar shows the minimum income few years back``but average wages are at least 2 times over that bar stated```
and there is no such thing as you said, you paid less than China for same thing```considering your primitive society, you cant make anything from screw to big machinery``they all have to be imported, paid with dollars, and your poor people also have to pay the converted premium, understand kid``
p.s as far asf classic middle-class consumption is concerned, Chinese consumed more than 10 times of classic middle-class goods than India````while your so-called ludicrous 10 dollar per day middle class people are struggling to make ends meet
A couple of years back, making $2-$4 per day would qualify to be in entry level "middle class" in India. That is how they could boast 300 million middle class. The poverty line is still less than $0.5 per day (32 rupees), so I guess $2 per day is indeed a middle class income.
I think the majority of our Indian friends here are from higher castes, so many of them don't have any idea how most of their countrymen live their life. They are here to argue about the year India would become a superpower, while many of their own people are struggling to provide two square meals per day for their family.
