kerala etc arent all of you south indian people tamils?
There are four provinces within South India.
Tamils belong to Tamil Nadu. They apeak Tamil and are called Tamilains. They have one of the most richest, and classical language, history and culture.
Mallus or Malayalis belong to Kerala, our language is similar to Tamil but is a sanskritised version of it. But we are different from Tamilians culture wise, language wise and in politics.
People in Andhra Pradesh speak Telugu and they have their own language, culture and food. Their capital city is Hyderabad. Andhra Pradesh will soon split in to Telangana and Seemandhra.
People in Karnataka speak Kannada, they have their own unique culture and food as well.
North Indians, who cannot appreciate the differences collectively call us 'Madrasis' a city in Tamil Nadu.
And South Indians call everyonelse North Indians, forgetting North-Eastern Indians are different from the North and South.
Even though there are some similarities, the cultural gap between South Indians are there.
For example, I can't speak Kannada, I can understand Tamil but cannot speak Tamil
For example, calling a Kerlaite the same as a Tamilan is like saying a Sindhi in Pakistan is the same as a Pakistani Punjabi.
