India's Revenge: RAW Attacks Cricketers in Pakistan

Dude if RAW is involved, there would be retaliation. I'm not rooting for it, but its just an inevitability. It has previously happened for much smaller incidents, this is an incident that will at least damage Pakistan's cricket for 10 or something years.

that's a lot of $$ lost for Pakistan's economy if it's that long.

It'll make the economics ministers very happy in India.

So maybe i had the wrong impression about you. I remember practically every pakistani member on this board saying "Give us proof" during the mumbai carnage. And i was one supporting this. And now here is a thread which is going the same line, speculating indian involvement, without any proof , without any official statement by GoP. Its in time like this that sane voices needs to be louder.

Im not implying that your should not speculate. The point is why target "RAW" when practically everyone in Pak is doing that. It does not need any intelligence to blame RAW. ISI is usual suspect for us. RAW is usual suspect for you. All i suggested was to do some lateral thinking on who else can be behind this.
Don't worry, my speculation isn't going to become Pakistan's official foreign policy, nor do I have any impact on the ISI's decision making. I'm merely commenting upon publicly available information.

Your GOVERNMENT spoke without proof. Pak Government has been somewhat kind, given all the speculation that is abuzz about RAW's hand.

Not really you'll see that these people tend to get tried and get sentences handed out to them as well. How many people heard about Sarabjit and his terror activities till Musharraf made some indications that he may pardon him?.

Have you heard about Afzal guru.

Pakistan government is often criticized for their lack of ability to stir the media up. For one thing, free media in Pakistan started in 2002, basically. We haven't gotten the art down yet.

Lack of ability. They are happy giving interviews to all those western news channels and you claim you cannot stir up.

Punjab governor has created record by stating it was RAW even before the attack was over.

Yes

Its still not the same. Anyway, here's to hoping they are not negligent any more.

While a thorough investigation ought to be conducted looking into all avenues, I am rather concerned by the fact that so many of you see this as some sort of a "game." A revenge for the Mumbai "drama"; a tit for tat terroristic scheme; finally a way for the GoI to discredit Pakistan even further. What else? A revelation that this was BCCI's scheme to increase its own chances for the forthcoming world cup by destroying Pakistani cricket and sending a "message" to Sangakkara and Mendis via a full metal jacket?

This is beyond ludicrous. There is a very serious problem here that is growing at warp speed and it is no longer a game; "great" or otherwise. And while I don't think anyone can stop most of you from speculating or indulging in even more hair brained conspiracy theories and turn it into a center point of a defunct discussion, it is still a giant waste of time and a detractor from the real issue at hand.

My condolences to all the innocent and brave souls who lost their lives.

He just called the attackers, Bastards... Not the same thing ;).

Contradictory statement has been coming in.

'Punjab Governor, Salman Taseer has said that the terrorists attacking Sri Lankan team were the same who attacked Mumbai'.

These are the same terrorists, who attacked Mumbai: Salman Taseer - GEO.tv

'whereas government of Punjab said firing incident is aftermath of rivalry between two land grabber groups.'

Six Sri Lanka cricketers hurt, 5 security men killed in Lahore attack - GEO.tv

Why do you think RAW is not that successful? Its very easy for everyone to easily infiltrate Pakistan our border security isn't anything to boast about.
This has nothing to do with border security, which is not fool-proof anywhere in the world. The question is: what does a foreign intelligence agency need to successfully cause instability in a local country? The answer: a large group of people with an agenda in line with the foreign govt's strategy. CIA/KGB used it to install friendly govt's during the Cold War.
ISI used Bhindranwale's followers in Punjab for the common goal of dismembering Indian Punjab., and it used disgruntled youth in Kashmir to dismember Indian Kashmir.
RAW could exploit the grievances of the BLA, but even that was not very successful. If it could not exploit the Baluchistan situation fully, how can RAW suddenly become so good at its game and conduct these high-profile attacks in Pakistan's heartland? Highly unrealistic, but that's just my opinion. I will watch the investigation with interest to see where it leads...

Pakistan's cricket economy has been sliding down the crapper for the past 3 years or so.

Simple investigations should be carried. Indians, having the most to gain, the motive, the agenda, their stated threats are just going to be the primary suspects. Of course TTP, LeT, JeM, all are suspects too, but so far nothing makes that theory very likely.

Only other close suspect is TTP, which is a proxy of India as well. So you tell me, why should I not speculate about India?

Pakistan's cricket economy has been sliding down the crapper for the past 3 years or so.

it was 2008 when noone toured.

Prior to this it was a booming economy making many $$.

Now, as a consequence of this, that booming money spinner is no more for a long time. The Pakistani cricket economy was starting to come back with the Sri Lanka and Bangladesh tours. But they're all off now. This definitely benefits one country in particular ;)

Look East, or West at some consulates.

I wish not to participate in conspiracy theory before any hard facts come out, but I will say this. I don't like what happened, but if we start pointing fingers without any proof, there will be no difference between us and the Indians.

They panicked like school children after Bombay, and when you panic, you start blaming others and start pulling others down into the quicksand with you. As Pakistanis, as people who have dealt with all this before, we need to show maturity. Lets hold off the theories until something official comes out. As for RAW, read up on RAW's and ISI's history and involvements and you will see RAW is not capable of doing something like this. Atleast not alone.

This is being negligent. You have proof, you arrested 3 Indian spys, you gave press statement regrding it. But wont still open it. The only answer i have is, those are all drama's by the state to appease the local populace. To convince and satisfy them that its foreign hand.

You don't disclose anything about the spies being apprehended because the moment they are caught, they are disowned. So providing proof does nothing.

I am not blaming anyone here just because we do not know enough and politicians (both Indian and Pakistani) have a habit of talking from their ***** so I will wait it out to see what develops, but having said that, can you really deny that there is no foreign hand involved in Pakistan? Do you really think that your government and intelligence agencies are benevolent?

Nobody is stopping you from. But you have to show u s proof, the same way we stuffed proofs on your govt.

And with ' so ample proof' still the GOP hasnt even hinted at 'foreign hands'.
