Why we have to develop Shaurya farther to be against a carrier battle group when it can change its flight path just like a cruise missile and has CEP of only 10-15 meter(because it is not a ballistic missile)?In its present form Shaurya can very well be used as a very potent land based long range sea denial missile.That's why IA is very keen to induct it as fast as possible instead of the Agni 1.
To koushik,bhai,why need to be fitted in a destroyer when can be used from land?Remember it has a range of 2000 km with 300 kg payload.

1. Shourya is designed to take with it the most dangerous thermo nuclear warhead.
2. It is immune (resistant) to anti ballistic missile defence systems
3. Will hit targets at 5 - 7 mach

Shourya is a deadly hybrid missile, no doubt about that.The thing I like the most is that it is the 1st indian missile that can be stored in and fired from underground silos,significantly increasing india's 2nd strike capability.Now the technology is matured.Agni 5 and new versions of Agni 3 will be canister/silo launch capable.Result:indian ready to fire nuclear warheads will now be completely safe from a first strike.

Are you talking about the K4 SLBM?It's good news.But I would have been a lot happier if the range would have been atleast 4500 km.But never the less great achievement.

OOPS!Just forgot about the DRDO's 'Drag resistant Cr alloy' which if implied to the nose of ballistic missiles can reduce the drag by atleast 50% and thus increase the range by 40% without reducing the payload.

why u Indians do chest thumping so much hav u seen th Chinese dong th same like u although wat u r developng now China has al those missile arsenals in their kitty for last 25 yrs. Indians r developng slbm which can go 4500 km which China already has in much better range of 5000-600 km nd now they r developng 14000 km range slbm name JL2. U r way behind China, no doubt India is 2 bakward 2 get th status of a world power.
