What's new

India's Pakistan Phobia

Thanks I can see their strength is listed at 70 people fighting in Meghalaya. Some movement - I have more people in my apartment complex.

Well, the same SATP says that the number of active militants in J&K is around 200

The population of Meghalaya is 3 million

The Population of Kashmir Valley is 7 million

Do you get it now ?

You are the one quoting the link - I am merely reading from your sources. If you have better sources, feel free to provide them.

Assam is sorted ? Didn't insurgents go on a killing spree and killed 20 people in a market recently?

12 people. Attacks still take place but they are rare. Far rarer than what happens in your Balochistan.

Secondly I believe the attacks were not done by a separatist organisation but by a group that dislikes immigrants.

Btw, the BJP won the state elections this time in Assam and even in the General elections BJP got the maximum votes. Now when a region votes overwhelmingly for BJP, you know where they stand.

P.S - I don't know what this thread is about since I am not interested in Riaz uncle's rantings but since I see people discussing Indian's separatists movements here. Practically speaking, the only strong separatist movement in India with majority support left today is in the Kashmir Valley.Period.

As for The sepratist movements in India.. ..Khalistan movement in Indian Punjab has become active again....majority of sikhs living out of india support the movement ...including within India....insurgencies still continue with attacks on Indian forces and police..... occurres in North-East India, in the states of Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Assam and Nagaland.

LOL. What will you do if all these get together and achieve Ghazwa-e-Hind before Pakistan does?

Will ensure remaining India's Delhi Red Fort falls with the Muslim rulers of Pakistan this time....yet again...as it been going on for 1000 years.

As per your own sources (i.e., SATP), the number of Maoist-linked civilian fatalities in India stood at 168 in 2015.

The number of civilians killed in Baluchistan by terrorists/militants in 2015 was 114.

Far rarer than what happens in Baluchistan ??

Not Really .....

I was referring to Assam my friend. Not Naxalites. Read the context again.

As for Naxalism there too things have improved a lot over the years. check the data from the last few years. Besides Naxalism is not a separatist movement.

In Pakistan every province except for Punjab has a separatist movement and the majority supports it. Pakistan is actually Punjabistan.

More than 67 active separatist movements in India rising up

There are more than 67+ active separatist movements in different states of india including Punjab, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Bangal, Chattisgarh, Orrisa, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & list goes on, who want freedom from india because of brutalities of indian Govt on minorities while Khalistan & Jammu Kashmir is about to get freedom pls Jammu Kashmir & Andhra Pradesh are illegally Occupied by india, this video shows the real face of so called "World's Largest Democracy".

So what's your opinion or what do you say to those Indians ?
I just say that I disagree and that it's been for the better for both countries. It's not typically a topic of conversation that people want to continue once they realize that I'm opposed to the whole 'unification' idea.

Naxalite Movement in India is much more dangerous than any regional separatist movement as they aim to destroy the state machinery, overthrow the Indian government, and establish the Indian People's Democratic Federal Republic.

Naxalite Insurgency in India is more deadly (and much stronger) than Pakistan's Baluchistan insurgency.

And the Naxalite insurgency is not the "only" ongoing insurgency in India, there are a lot of other regional/nationalist insurgencies as well.

India cannot (and will not) make an active intervention in Baluchistan.

You don't even have the moral high ground to "talk" about Baluchistan.

.
I have a feeling that all of those about whom u speak were north Indians
The majority, yes.

I have a very close Indian Tamil friend (known him since my undergrad days), and while we will bitch about regional politics and how the establishment/jingoism on either side prevents significant normalization, he's never mentioned anything about 'unification'.

.
Going through this thread one gets a feeling that the Pakistan's version of histroy is a lot different(read delusional) then that of the rest of the world.
Also I loved the way how the op provided us with a link to CPEC on a thread on the so called Pakistan's phobia in India.:enjoy:

If that makes you feel happy then carry on but let me show a little reality -

http://www.satp.org/satporgtp/countries/pakistan/database/casualties.htm

http://www.satp.org/satporgtp/countries/india/database/indiafatalities.htm

Till date in 2016 - only 574 civilians, terrorists and security forces have been killed in India. This is with a population of 1.2 billion.

Whereas in Pakistan till date in 2016 - 1273 civilians, terrorists and security forces have been killed with a population of 200 million.

Therefore do the math.

Pakistan even in these improved times has already lost more than twice the people than India has to violent terrorist insurgencies despite being 1/6th of India's population.

Don't compare. You are far worse off as far as insurgencies and terrorism is concerned. Stop being concerned about us and focus on yourself. We'll both be far better off.

We have been fighting against the Indian sponsored terrorists for the last ten years or so

And we have done well ....... But that's not what we were discussing here ...

You told us that Indian insurgencies (excluding Kashmir of course) were nothing compared to Pakistan's Baluchistan insurgency

I only gave you a reality check ...
