India’s oxygen production capacity has increased to 9,103 metric tonnes: Centre

Ministry of Home Affairs informed that India’s medical oxygen production has increased from 7,259 metric ton to 9,103 metric ton. “Production of medical oxygen has increased and on 24 April, 9,103 metric ton oxygen was produced. It is commendable since the oxygen production capacity was only 7,259,” said Additional Secretary Piyush Goyal during a press conference on April 26. Goyal also highlighted the various measures undertaken to ensure safe transportation of oxygen tankers. He said, “India is ordering oxygen tankers from abroad on a purchase or hiring basis. The transportation of oxygen tankers is a major challenge. Using real-time tracking, we are monitoring the movement of oxygen tankers.”

Seriously u people never learn. In the middle of a pandemic when ppl are dying on roads and streets the indians find something to boast about. Wow look so much oxygen we produced, we r supa powa best in world bla bla stupid crap from idiot morons. Its the reason most people and nations hate u even if they are ur allies. Learn to be humble and dont boast all the time. Slapped on the face so many times and yet keep repeating.

India's oxygen capacity was never in question. Even before we had no shortage of oxygen. It's the logistics involved that created this issue like shortage of oxygen tanks, oxygen carrying trucks, in building oxygen gen plants etc. This news is like trying to hide an watermelon in a rice lunch meal.

And this kinda shameless heading is an insult to the people who could not get basic oxygen supplies for their loved ones.
