Those Christians are newly converts from Hinduism so for them it might not be an issue to be burnt like Hindus BUT Muslims do not burn their dead.

What a dooms day for Muslims in India that one after other thing is picked up to change their religion by Hindus.

Even the Christians of Europe are taking the option of cremation in a big way. I'm sure they are much older converts to Christianity than ur conversion to Islam.

Parsis is of India (mainly mumbai) ,a religious community much older than Muslims also have been choosing cremation over their traditional ways for same issue of land problem.

Again ok if what you said is right. Again the Question is how many people can afford the wood amounting to tons and tons ?

As i said in the reply to ur previous post, Its usually the cheap firewoods that are for Hindu cremation .

Now every big city of India has facility of electric burners for cremation purpose which is extremely Eco friendly and cost effective.

Feel free to give that idea to your local masjid. I am sure you can convince them they same way they can convince you to bury your dead. personally I would nt make a suggestion that goes against the rites of another religion.

With th land problem in a country like Indian with so much population...i don't think they have much choice ,but to adopt new ways, not specific to cremation only ,in the coming times.

i think india is only country who give complete freedom to every person, every religion. and indian muslims r most modern in Islamic world. i am giving u a example:
my economic teacher aizaz ahmed was married to hindu girl shweta sharma. and they r living happily. and it is normal in india. but if the same thing is happen in ur country then forget the living happily i have doubt they will live or not.

I don't know how other members here can tolerate constant lies by indians on this fourm. don't indians on here have any dignity or they will constantly spew out lies and misinformation.

If muslims dont want to bury then only option available is to have a Multi Layer Grave.

Then Muslims can follow their traditions and still dont have to worry too much about the availability of space in the grave yards.

They are proud to be muslims and indians besides they dont believe in the two nation theory to break india they supported maulana abul kalam azad(rahimullah) and other muslims must respect that i as a canadian muslim respect their choice so goes for a pakistani muslim and so on ,for me its Canada comes first for indian muslims its sab se pehle India !

honestly i am a proud muslim and i am a citizen of a seculer non-muslim country i really feel disgusted and insulted when some people come up with such horrible Ideas for their own read ( National Agenda ) which has got nothing to do with islam in the very first place ,please stop manipulating islam for your nationalistic instinct .

I think it is 160 million but where will the land come from...there are more than a billion other citizens of India who also want that land.

As for the issue..a lot of Christians in the west also cremate their dead. There is just no space in the cities pretty much anywhere in the world.
