It's good that trade is picking up. With increased demand, oil import from Iran can only go up.

Last year (2015), the total trade stood at 9.3 billion USD (India imported 6.2 billion USD and exported 3.1 billion USD w.r.t Iran).

I think it will increase nicely this year and continue on good trajectory for a long time.

With sanctions gone, this trade figure has potential to increase exponentially.

Iran has very good economic potential with removal of sanctions it is bound to grow in leaps & bounds. India should increase its export & investment to/in Iran. Iran can use the money from oil exports to buy more Indian goods. It will be win-win deal for both the countries.

The post sanction trade is paid for as regular commerce would be (since there are no more banking restrictions from the sanctions)

The unpaid dues are from the earlier time period and will be fully cleared this year.

Due to Iran's history with Peugeot, the underpinnings are based on modified Peugeot chassis, and most or all of those cars have Peugeot engines. Though there is a new engine jointly designed by Iran and Germany, and it is very good. It can, with some modifications, meet the latest European emissions regulations.
