Answer pretty much lies in the title itself. Another COUP may just do the trick. Afterall Pakistan always progressed both economically & militarily under dictatorship.

No contradiction or rhetoric. Being highly educated or rich does not necessarily equate to being pioneers of science, technology or military. Or being a superpower for that matter. The average indian in the west is much more educated than the average German or American but the scientific, technological and military achievements of the Germanic and other European races far exceed that of the indian race. Having a corrupt system is no excuse. Russians are just as corrupt as anyone else yet they have been a superpower since 1945.

The inventors of the first aeroplane (the ancestor of ALL aircraft) were Willbur and Orvile Wright. Both were American farmers who were "uneducated". Education is important but not the be all and end all.

I can and will blame the NDA, they cannot be allowed to rest on their laurels and must be held accountable for their actions (or in action). In their maiden budget they have failed to allocate any higher than 1.78% of the Indian GDP on defence- far lower than international and regional levels.


Additionally, on the defence front the NDA have been performed far below their rhetoric pre-elections had suggested. I had, in another thread, given them a 6/10 for their performance in defence matters thus far.


I agree with you that economic security and true power (above a regional level) will only come with "hard power" to back up the talk- talk softly and carry a big stick as the saying goes. India has immense diplomatic and soft power but it fails to with military power on any significant level. There is still a very naive and pacifist tendency amongst the Indian (political/civilian) establishment who do not think on a strategic level and are incapable of contemplating using military means to protect India's interests in many domains.



Doval as NSA was a truly commendable appointment though, I'm sure that he is doing a lot of good behind the scenes. On the other hand, the defence minister is a joke.

Defense budget at a %age of GDP does not show the real picture. India has an inflated GDP because of it's population. If you compare it to net tax collected, India spends a fair share on defense.

Thanks for your lecturing, but India spends about 2+% of it's GDP on the miltiary, which is around global average, even Pakistan spends more. And even when the Indian military needs a complete overhaul from the neglect of the 90s. And if Kargil taught India something, it's be prepared and ready for anything.

Defence spending, and funding for other important matters can go hand in hand.

Agree with most of what you say. But I feel what you said above is not definitive nor absolute. If it were then Pakistan would not be a nuclear weapons state and Saudi Arabia would be. One thing Pakistan does have is the burning desire for our race to survive no matter what. Although not discussed, out of all the nations on earth, Pakistanis are the most determined in terms of racial survival.

This is a real stupid question. We are 195 million. India is 1.275 billion. So we won't and don't need to cope with it.

Because the real question is how 1.275 billion India will cope with it's equal 1.3 billion China? We know China is already leap years ahead. That is the real interesting question.

All Pakistan has to do is look on from the sidelines. As long as China keeps India held in it's wake we shan't have any problems.
