India's GDP to grow 8% in FY16; hit $3 trillion mark in five years

I remember the Vajpayee ERA when Rupee grew by 5 rs from 49 to 44.

True.
But as i said the exchange rate depends hugely on the trade balance. Our IT and services sector along with almost all export based trade (like gem processing, handlooms etc) actually relish the fact that rupee remains weak as it helps them earn more in terms of Indian Rupee for every Dollar they earn.
Its the import part that hurts in this scenario and therefore it is important to diversify critical items (like crude) from sources which are ready to do trade in local currency. This helps in reducing the stress on FOREX reserve at certain times.

Generally fall in local currency is followed by exporters lowering their prices to outbid other competitors, but never the less, exporters do benefit. The export-oriented economies - China, Germany and Japan are evidence of this.

I have to tell you that it's not just Chinese and Pakistanis who do not like Indians. Tamils, white Canadians, Jews, in general do not have a favourable view of indians generally speaking. You think I'm lying but come to Canada and find out for yourself. Chinese, Jews, and other racial groups generally do not live where there are a majority of indians because we know the house prices do not increase as the national average, plus the crime rate is higher in those neighborhood than the average. In fact even blacks do not like living close to indians. @Luca1 what about in the US?

Indo-Canadians are significantly more likely than the Canadian average to have a university degree, and most Indians in Canada are socio-economically middle class.[2] 54% of Indo-Canadians have household incomes greater than $60,000, compared to the Canadian average of 46%.

Also au contraire your claim, Indians own the biggest and the most expensive properties in Canada.

The Indians I know are in high tech. They are smart but snubbing people that keep to themselves. They are still very caste oriented even in America.

Also, I would advise white girls to stay away from the Indians. White woman are treated as sex objects from Indians I personally know. An Indian coworker want to bed a white woman before going back to India for arrange marriage.

Nope! There haven't been much progress in job creation ecosystems after the IT boom.Construction,Mining and Manufacturing sectors are too small and slow paced they hardly have any impact on economy.

that's because the price of goods grow fast too.from food too housing, everything is now times more expensive than 20 years ago.

what good is that we don't have so many extreme poverty as what is reported by our or foreign institutions.
And also you didn't was to many option 20 years ago.
With growing consumerism people are buying recklessly.
20 Year ago people are happy with 10,000/- INR per month but today they are feeling uncomfortable with 1,00,000/- per month.

I am just giving example as I myself earn 35000/- INR per month but some one 6000/- but also someone with 100000000/- per month.
With per capita income of $ 1808 India is still a low income country as someone is very rich & someone very poor.

Not just Wiki, but other news reports too do not support your argument.
